John Drake wrote: Over at Cbn they've now turned on Graham Rye for having the incredible nerve to write a review of QOS. They've either never heard of him or think he's a 'sleazball' . These numbskulls know nothing about Bond. They've never even heard of 007 magazine. .
If Graham had given it a good review then I'm sure they would have been praising him.
They've spent the best part of three years now digging themselves into an absurd revisionist position full of bizarre notions such as James Bond was not supposed to be handsome and Bond films shouldn't include jokes. Cubby's formula was indestructible. The Barbara/Haggis/Craig formula seems to have lasted for one film
A lot of people have not dug themselves into that position. Cubby's Bond will live again.

Cubby's Bond will live again.
Yes, but it'll take until the gruesome twosome retire, and seeing as they are both healthy, and of sound mind,I don't see that happening for a while.

A few positive reviews have just popped up on CBn after seeing it tonight. Mostly they liked it, with one saying it's the best Bond film ever.

Confused yet with what to believe? I know I am.

It's official. QOS is........

No Sweenster, it's official...QOS is.....THE BOURNE MIMICRY! I want you to admit that after seeing it in 2 days as well.    By the way, the Marmite yeast was probably used to elevate Craig's shoes during his scenes with taller women too!

The critics have spoken in mass Moneypenny. Some good reviews, plenty of bad reviews, which vindicates that this site is one of only a few sites that got it correct. A toast MP    The franchise lasted 40 years as it was and it must return to it's prior form and Eon must purge Craig from any existence as Bond and write him off as an aberration of judgment at a moment of jealousy with another successful spy film trilogy. IF this film out grosses CR, Bond as we knew him, is finished.

I see you're still ignoring that that even the negative reviews praised Craig.

Katied, have you seen QOS to make your own judgment? :) I haven't, I'm still waiting to see it to say my own piece.

You(and Nash) have become incredibly shrill, with every bad review that has been posted here. I would suggest that you take a time out if it is bothering you(it obviously is).And when the movie comes out in the States it isn't going to get any better. And if we(the anti Craigs) hate it,we'll say so(and if the pro-Craigs hate it, they will say so too-but at the risk of being called traitors )

At the moment you come off like this :" Waah!Evil journalists! They hate QOS!!! They're the SUXORZ!! OMGWTFBBQ!!!!"

Not in all Stocks, I know you don't want to admit it. He is not PRAISED widely this time around. His ideas influenced a $261 million budgeted film, and the end result was not received anywhere near to CR. FACT.

That is the way it has been received by the numerous critics out there, with some really HORRIBLE reviews. Are you in denial that this film is NOT being received with the overwhelming anticipation that the controversial CR had?

Of course he's in denial!heh. he's choosing to act like the bad reviews don't exist..and desperately trying to find positive reviews...which is not easy :P

There are some decent reviews out there too, but to have such an amount of VERY negative things said about TBM must have EON in shock.

I'm not in denial. I've actually acknowledged these reviews several times already, but as Sweeney says, the horrible reviews are not the majority. I notice however that you seem to ignore anything that's being complimentary of both the film and Craig. And you still don't acknowledge that even the bad reviews have praised Craig.

I doubt EON is that shocked. QOS isn't the first Bond film to ever get negative reviews you know. Besides, I still want to see the film myself so I can go by MY OWN JUDGMENT.

How can I defend a film I haven't seen yet? Heck how can you bash a film you haven't seen? You seem to ignore this everytime I bring it up. I've already stated so many times that I will wait until I see the film myself to make up my own opinion instead of clinging to favorable reviews.
