I think Kristatos makes some fair points. When Casino Royale came out other forums were talking about the film ruining the series because it made the rest of the series look bad. I don't get that at all. I watched Casino Royale and it didn't even feel like a James Bond film let alone ruin the series. I wonder how far these slightly pretentious 'Fleming purists' would like to see Eon go. A chain smoking Bond doing some pencil pushing and threatening to give his secretary a good spanking? A long scene where Bond has a five course meal which is described in intricate detail?

No, I always make sure I only carry hardback editions......gets you noticed more if strategically placed in the pockets properly.

I've seen comments like that, too. Either that or "I hadn't enjoyed a Bond film since FRWL until now".

You make it sound like all the other Bond fans except the ones who post here are obsessed with Daniel Craig (were not worthy, were not worthy), which is simply not true. I think Casino Royale was a very good and enjoyable Bond film, and rate it higher than any of the films that Pierce Brosnan made. Though I did enjoy most of Brosnans films and was not waiting for a new direction or actor. I still place From Russia With Love and OHMSS as my favourites, but also enjoy the likes of TLD, TSWLM and OP. Bond fans differ, and to place them into catergories is wrong. I don't agree with alot of you, but I respect your opinion.

I've said it before, I don't mind Craig as Bond, I just did not like him in CR.
