Re: QOS copies famous Bond moment - BIG SPOILER
I think we have discussed the "would you have liked Casino Royale without Craig" question before on some of the earlier threads (if you have got too much time on your hands and want to have a browse) and in the "main reason you don't like Craig" poll/thread.
I would have enjoyed Casino Royale without Daniel Craig, but it would not have been my favourite Bond film. I don't think it was the masterpiece that everyone else thinks it is: It's a good spy film, but a rotten Bond related film. I can't think of it as belonging to the same series as FRWL, TSWLM or Dalton's efforts, for example.

And it used to be your favorite Bond film, and when you started hating the film out of nowhere (to spite MI6 no doubt) it was RetroKitty that had to remind you that you still had it listed on your profile as your favorite Bond flick before you took it off.katied wrote:I would rather watch any of the movies mentioned rather than watch CR again

Okay, how does it look dated? And I don't understand the criticism on Craig's "obviously wooden acting", why would you say that now when months ago you thought he was great? It's not like the film has changed since 2006.katied wrote:It looks dated already.Made in 2006 and it looks dated. That's not a good thing.Oh and Craig's obviously wooden acting

I find it to be dated by the tone and attitude. Almost fresh for 2005 reused leftover 24 and bourne plots now old school by late 2008.stockslivevan wrote:Okay, how does it look dated? For example it would make sense if you said that you no longer liked the way he played Bond as opposed to acting skills.
Product placements for shitty 2005 electronics don't help.

Forget it Stocks. She has already proved that when the debate reaches a certain level of depth, and requires a tiny amount of intelligence to continue the debate, she either runs out of the thread completely, only to reappear several posts later and cleverly forget the question/post prompted at her earlier, or she dismisses it with an attempt at bog-standard humour to cover her tracks.stockslivevan wrote:We were in the middle of a discussion and you thought it was appropriate to throw in a joke instead? How can you have a serious debate with someone who worshipped Craig and CR only a few months ago, to completely change her opinion to get back at another forum. That shows you the level of intelligence you are dealing with here.
Thankfully, most other members on here are not like her, and are intelligent enough to have a debate with.

I long the days when there was more activity going on and the old chaps were still around discussing Bond in an intellgent manner instead of posting hundreds of rolling eyes and "LOLZ UR SO RITE" replies everytime someone slams Craig. The Sweeney wrote:Forget it Stocks. I thought Craig was wooden too in Casino Royale. It was probably a result of his depiction of a "tough Bond". Or a lack of more than two facial expressions.
