QOS copies famous Bond moment - BIG SPOILER

Post by carl stromberg »

Quantum of Solace copies an iconic Bond moment. It's a surprising spoiler.

So no new ideas then.

That's a spoiler?
Looks like a cheap set for music videos.

I think it is a mistake to copy this. What are you going to do? Compare it to the original. The knock off copy isn't going to hold up to original.
Why not remake all the movies?
I dunno it cheapens the whole idea and compromises any promise "bond22" had. The more I hear the more it feels like lousy 60's knockoff series.

I have to agree.Sorry, but reusing something from a previous Bond movie is laziness.

I thought the inclusion of "BIG SPOILER" in the thread title would be a warning. Apologies if anyone was spolied.

Yes, but you only posted a link, which I could choose not to click on. Someone else then proceeded to repost the pic in the actual thread.

Posting this news has been controversial on at least one Bond board(no prizes for guessing which one) :P Allowing a newspaper to run a story with a huge a$$ spoiler is not going to wash with EON(though it's likely they were behind it).

I presume Eon were behind it, which is even more surprising!

And also, since the movie comes out a week earlier in the UK than it does here! Definitely a screw-up on EON's part

But you didn't know it was a major character unless you read the story first. That could be a hooker covered in chocolate or was that sewage. ;)

Image no wonder this movie cost so much, look at the price of crude oil. ;)

This stinks. a sorry attempt to bring somethings of Classic bond in to the movie. What the third attempt? from copying the FRWL boat scene to this, plus one other i think. This is lame! Really tired. They series has nothing new to do so they recycle theLTK script and try to badly recycle the old Iconic scenes from teh original series where they (the scenes ) were original and ground breaking when they were first done. They really need ot put the bond on hiatus wait a few years and let someone like Nolan come in and start form scratch doing it his way.
That way when a iconic scene comes up it will make sense in the context of the movie series. We have Craig's spy, bond but not yet quite Bond (TM Eon) floundering his way through stories, Batman reboot works because Batman is not floundering he is batman, the joker is the joker, the scarecrow is the scarecrow, Gordan is Gordan, hes not chief commissioner yet but that ok because we know he will be.

I was talking with someone whos opinion is th reboot of Bond has been horribly botched, because the way the stories and actor decided to play it. He will never be the Bond Connery was in Dr No or Lazenby was in OHMSS.

LOL sorry, my bad

And rehashing stuff from previous films, as I have said before, is weak. And I'm sure fans are not the only ones who will pick up on it.

oh. I though they might have moved it again. IMHO Oct 31st is bad night to release something that isn't Halloween related
