Re: CHUD interview w/ Craig and Forster.
These interviews are dull. They just let Eon and Daniel "Interesting" Craig drone on answering fawning questions.
Is this the interview where Craig says he may not be back for the next "Bond" film, and Barbara quickly says "yes he will, and the next one....and the next one...".

Barbara waffling on about Craig and QOS? No thanks.stockslivevan wrote:No. Why not just read it?carl stromberg wrote:Is this the interview where Craig says he may not be back for the next "Bond" film, and Barbara quickly says "yes he will, and the next one....and the next one...".

Re: CHUD interview w/ Craig and Forster.
Barbara isn't actually interviewed. I thought Craig seemed a lot happier that he was when he was first dragged kicking and screaming into the role of Bond. He was actually quite chipper here, and seemed particularly amused by the word "cocksmanship" appearing in one of the questions.James wrote:Barbara waffling on about Craig and QOS? Re: CHUD interview w/ Craig and Forster.
there is nothing to comment about there. It is hard to tell who is answering what. It may have been all Forester.
It is not the whole interview any way. It would be better to wait for the complete interview.
Here is the best part so nobody has to wast their time.

The fanboy wank word shouldn't have been used by the interviewer. It is amusing, but unprofessional. Although it does also show what a lot of people have said for while,, there is a big difference from the classic series to Bound 2.0the classic Bond was known for his cocksmanship [Craig erupts into laughter. He loves the word] but as we progress socially that has started to look a little bit more misogynistic. Does Vesper Lynd’s betrayal in Casino Royale explain that part of his persona or is that something you don’t see this current version of Bond you even having?

McGee actually said "quite the cocksman". "Cocksmanship" appears to be a derivation originating with the interviewer.stockslivevan wrote:Courtesy of user Trav McGee.Kristatos wrote:He was actually quite chipper here, and seemed particularly amused by the word "cocksmanship" appearing in one of the questions.

Re: CHUD interview w/ Craig and Forster.
If I never hear/read the word "cocksmanship" even again I will be a happy woman.Using that question was really tacky on CHUD's part.

Re: CHUD interview w/ Craig and Forster.
I see no one is giving the rest of the interview a thought, passing it off either because "oh Babs must be at it again" or because of the uttering of "cocksmanship". If Cavill was Bond and was asked about his "cocksmanship" you'd be all giggling like schoolgirls. But since Craig is around, it's all game face and melodrama, "oh how dare he!"
Re: CHUD interview w/ Craig and Forster.
Eh, it's clunky, and just plain wrong in the context of the interview *shrug*
And if it were Cavill, I wouldn't care.

The excerpt of the interview does not offer much to comment about.
One sensationalized word and some rather monotonous drivel.
Whenever a link is posted for a outside text it requires extra effort to read and comment about it. I think our readership were generous to take the time to read and make comments.
Was there something you (SPECTRE 02) found exceptional about it and would care to comment on?

Re: CHUD interview w/ Craig and Forster.
Glad you ask. Most of the stuff I found interesting was from Forster on how he worked on QOS. There have been plenty of debates on whether Forster was an appropriate actor and how he approaches the stunt teams on what he wants to see. I notice that in the Brosnan era Vic Armstrong was basically given almost free rein over the set piece hence why they don't quite mesh with the scenes directed by the main guy, a clear example is TWINE. I thought the insight on how Forster was handling all of this for QOS would interest the DCINBers who've questioned whether he was suitable to direct a Bond film. But I guess Craig's cocksmanship got their attention instead.

Re: CHUD interview w/ Craig and Forster.
I didn't care about forester. I don't think the director matters when they are not making bond films. Craig's spy sure but not Bond. They are not making anything comparable to Connery's Bond thats for sure and that is the only comparison that matter to me.
I also don't care why a director shoot a certain way and why they dont. I don't even care for director commentary much.
But I would have liked Pierce Brosnan (and the past Bond directors) to be given more control like he wanted.

Martin Campbell thought his scenes were eminent beyond comparison, the critics did not see eye to eye they considered the second units work more innovative. A director's opinion of his own work is hardly proof of his bonafides.
Comparison to Vic Armstrong and previous directors who complained about not being given freedom would have be engaging, however it is mentioned nowhere in the the interview. What can be gleaned form the interview is that Forester had a free hand and brought in his own people.
He does own that if the movies does not work it is his fault seeing as he had asked for and received a free hand.
There simply is no meat from this one small snippet expound upon. If anyone has doubts about Forester his opinion of his team will not alleviate them.
