Seraphim Falls on TV this afternoon

Post by Kristatos »

For those of you in the USA who get to read this in time, Seraphim Falls is on the Hallmark Channel at 2.30 Eastern Time. Surprised to see a 2-year-old movie on basic cable already, but I suppose it only got a limited release. Not exactly Hallmark's usual fare either. I had to check whether it was a different movie called Seraphim Falls, but the TV guide definitely said "starring Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan ".

I thought it was good. Maybe a tad overlong, but that may just be my perception, fueled by the seemingly endless commercial breaks. You might be better off renting the DVD, where you won't have to worry about the constant interruptions, annoying on-screen graphics advertising upcoming programmes, and the fact that it was "formatted to fit your screen, and edited for time and content". It was a compelling chase drama that turned into something more allegorical in the third act.

I quite like it.
Though it will not be everyone's cup of tea, it should at least prove to be entertaining.

I never thought about Irishmen being involved in the American Civil War before this. Of course I don't often watch US Civil War themed films either.
