For 20 films the connections were lose at best –but there were connections.
OHMSS took great pains to show flashbacks in the opening to say this is the same Bond.
DAD brought back old props to say this is the same guy.
–How is it possible? Its not. gobs of writers keep their creations the same age forever. -The Bond movies did the same. -Bond was the Bond who came before and the one that will come after.
When Tobey Maguire reties from Spiderman are we going to believer the new Spiderman is a different or a reboot –no the story will go on.
Same with Matt Damon and Bourne. -if the story is kept going
Make them serious nudes!

What about GF? This film was more in kin to the Moore era.

Or the 80's, 70's and 60's.
Moore is a complete different Bond to Connery's, even in GF. DAF is very much like a Moore film (probably the closest you can get), yet the guy he plays doesn't seem to be the exact same guy Moore plays. Scripts, lines, direction is altered for the new actor.

And an even bigger jump is Moore in AVTAK to Dalton in TLD and LTK. How anyone can say this is the exact same character in each film beats me!

Brosnan is probably closer to Moore than anyone else, but his character suddenly changes too. We now get Bond being sensitive at the same time, saying crap things like `It's what keeps me alive.'

And Craig's Bond is different again, although probably more closer to Connery's than anyone else.
