Pro-Craig's alternative Bond?

Post by carl stromberg »

Who would the pro-Craigers like to see as Bond after Craig? Especially if he (he won't!) stepped down after QOS.

I know Benny would watch virtually anyone. But other Craig fans seem to dismiss every other alternative.
Bring back Bond!

Not really given it that much thought. Initially I wanted Clive Owen, but he'll probably be too old by the time Craig leaves the role.

You know, I do love Clive Owen and he ticks all the right "James Bond" boxes on the application form... but I just never felt him as James Bond... I know that I did say to a friend when I heard Craig was Bond - and I wasn't even a huge fan at the time at all - that Clive would have been a better pick... but then I saw Craig and loved it.

But when I said that, it was just based on the look of Bond and continuing in the Brosnan fashion that we had before - which I don't think you have to do in order to have a good Bond.

Personally, I hope it's a relatively unknown actor - not Owen or Law or someone we've seen too much of. Someone that comes out of nowhere and surprises us - once again... ;)

Benny would not watch just about anyone. Carl you've got mixed up along the way there good sir.
As a replacement for Craig, I'd say Sam Worthington would be a most likely candidate. He apparently made it to the final three when casting for CR, and I'd imagine EON will be keeping in contact from time to time with both Worthington and Cavill.
As for Henry Cavill, if he can lose that too youthful look, he might make a good OO7, but at the moment he's simply too young.
Other than that, keep the Craig. He's got plenty of Bond left in him yet. Another two or three at least.

I know it isn't possible now but Christian Bale is the only actor I can think of that can continue what Craig started. I'm not sure about Worthington and Cavill. Do they have charisma? We shouldn't be going by just looks you know. It takes far more than that to make a good Bond.

Craig is not exactly the most charasmatic of Bonds. I think people just like his perceived toughness.
