Re: Brosnan's secret half-sister?
I Don't believe it for second. The whole letter reads like a fake.FormerBondFan wrote:http://www.mi6.co.uk/news/index.php?itemid=6007
Consider that when it was allegedly written, 2002, Pierce was on every TV and magazine cover. It also doesn't match what we know of Pierce's father.
Also noted MI6 took a cheap shot with the anti-wrinkle cream remark. Why not mention his clothing line adverts?
Pierce Brosnan faces `shock claims` of secret half-sister
Pierce Brosnan was last night facing shock claims he has a secret half-sister living homeless in Los Angeles - reports The People.
Single mum Carol Plants says a letter written by her mother on her deathbed names Thomas Brosnan as her real dad.
Brosnan Snr walked out on Pierce when he was a baby - 11 years before Carol was born.
Now the woman who believes she is James Bond's little sister is appealing for him to submit to a DNA test.
Carol claims repeated attempts to contact Pierce through his people have been stonewalled - and fears he does not even know she exists.
Her French-born mother wrote the bombshell letter in 2002 just before she died aged 70. It was discovered years later in her Bible.
Carol, 43 - raised by another man she thought was her father - said last night: "I genuinely believe I am Pierce Brosnan's sister.
"As far as I'm concerned the letter my mother wrote to me is gospel until proven otherwise."
The handwritten note says: "Your father was a man named Thomas Brosnan. He is an Irishman from Tralee. I knew him briefly in London. Please, I urge you to seek your father out. I pray you can find it in your heart to forgive me. Both for the past and for the unspoken discoveries you will find in your search for your father."
Carol traced Thomas back to Tralee, South West Ireland - and learned he had died.
She said: "My search for him led me to Pierce. I don't think he even knows about this. If he did I'm sure he would have tried to contact me."
The dad of five, 54, born across Ireland in Navan, Co Meath, has most recently been seen advertising anti-wrinkle cream for men. He now lives in wealthy Malibu.
Carol and her two teen daughters are not too far away - in a temporary one-room bolthole from domestic violence in downtown LA.
But she insisted: "I'm not expecting Pierce to come and bail me out. He is my only hope of knowing for sure who I really am."
"If he is my brother I would love to have him in my life."
A spokesman for the star said he was aware of Carol's claims but declined to comment.
