Just as I previously stated here: Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has stated that Jacob Elordi would be a "perfect" choice to play Edward Cullen if the film were rebooted today. Hardwicke praised Elordi's acting ability and suggested he fits the modern, moody aesthetic for the character. Image

Well, they are gearing up to cast a new Bond, so it's only natural that there will be speculation. Personally, I still think it's going to end up being someone who isn't being talked about right now.

I've just found out that there was a version of Wuthering Heights made in the 1970s that featured Timothy Dalton as Heathcliff! It'd be a nice piece of symmetry if Elordi was chosen.

This is a Calvin Dyson video about Jacob Elordi VS Callum Turner as Bond. There is a lot I don't agree with in this video (like his claim that Callum Turner would be the closest physical resemblance to Fleming's Bond we've ever seen onscreen - eh? :picard: ) but I do agree with his point at the end that Turner is much more likely to actually want the part than Elordi.

I thought rainfall was sufficiently rare in California to be celebrated rather than complained about.

(Happy birthday, by the way)

When are they roughly supposed to announce who the next Bond is? It feels like No Time to Die came out about twenty years ago.

Thank you for the birthday wishes!

So:

Yes and no on the rain. We have a(variably) rainy season-roughly December-March though it can stretch into April and even May. One year it could be VERY rainy and the next, nothing.

For YEARS we have been in a drought but now, finally after years aren’t. We’ve had enough rainy days, which, good.

The problems with weather here are: It freaks our weather people out(they act like it’s OMG the worst thing ever! Which..have these people been to the rest of the country? We ain’t got nothing on Oklahoma, or even New York, right now!

But also?people here done lose their ability to drive when it rains. If you’ve lived in San Diego for any amount of time it’s kind of a running joke-also all the places that get flooded-one of our malls-Fashion Valley-is on a flood plain and gets flooded any time there is a significant amount of rain!

I think they said some time this summer, with filming due to begin early next year for an autumn 2028 release. But there are so many conflicting rumours flying around that it's getting hard to tell what's official and what isn't.

Thank goodness for that!

My dad grew up(at least partially) on the East Coast-Virginia specifically. They got weather there. My dad is used to it. I, however am a California native and,up until fairly recently, was afraid of weather. I actually don’t mind thunder and lightning, *or* going out in anything heavier than a mist now.

Hey gang, take this in the spirit in which it is intended, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, but has the dearth of Bond news really have just just sitting around and talking about the weather? :jack:

Just finished my umpteenth reread of The Golden Compass.I know there’s been a series since the movie came out(almost 20 years ago!) but I always picture Daniel Craig as Asriel.
