IAs for Superman, it passed $500 million worldwide but I don't think it was a good film at all and the new Green Lantern looks like something out of Dumb And Dumber, as well as hawk girl and Mr. Terrific? The entire plot was a joke and introducing the Justice GANG had no place in this Superman film. Let them try to have a stand along film with that trio and see where that goes. Image Image

Guy Gardner has that hairstyle in the comics. James Gunn seems to like the more obscure misfit characters. I'd never heard of Mr Terrific before this film.

I'm hoping that, being a Bond fan for so many years, it will be imbued into me and I will be able to produce something that's the same but different, and better, stronger and bolder." However, Knight did not shed any light on which actor might portray 007 in the next film. When asked about it, Knight said: "That is a very, very good question, and one I can't give you the answer to." He did not elaborate as to whether this was because he does not know, or he is not allowed to reveal who it is, or because the decision hasn't been made yet.
I would think they would wait for the first draft of the script before making their final decision. The Deadline article said that Knight had been considered fora while, but Denis Villeneuve wanted to meet with him first, essentially a job interview to make sure their creative visions aligned.

I did see a headline on a site I'd never heard of, but it looked like clickbait, so I didn't post it. It said something like "Denis Villeneuve rumoured to be seriously considering Tom Holland" - lots of weasel words there!

Holland is a puny 5'7" and in no way, shape, or form can be Bond. Can you imagine what Grant from FRWL would do to this clown! Cr-egg is more Bond than Tommy with his funny face Zendaya girlfriend being seen together everywhere. Pascal is an idiot if she even considers this stooge as Bond. I think he is terrible as Spiderman.

I think he's fine as Spiderman personally, but I don't see him as Bond.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps once again led the way this weekend. After last weekend's frontloaded start there was some concern just how big the drop would be, and that concern may have been warranted after a 66% drop down in week two to $40 million! This is the 3rd incarnation of a crummy group of not so popular superheroes so just give up and stop retreading old films to break even at the box office if they are even lucky to do that.

Let us not forget what happened in 2015: Amy Pascal, one of Hollywood’s most powerful movie executives, is stepping down as head of Sony Pictures in the wake of a hacking scandal that resulted in her private and damaging emails being leaked. Pascal was targeted by hacking group Guardians of Peace, a group linked by the US government to North Korea. Late last year, the hackers released a slew of emails including one exchange in which she traded racist jokes about Barack Obama. Among them were racially insensitive emails between Pascal and producer Scott Rudin joking that Obama’s favorite films are black-themed movies like Django Unchained and 12 Years a Slave. Discussing an upcoming fundraiser for the president Rudin wrote: “Would he like to finance some movies?” Pascal wrote back, “I doubt it. Should I ask him if he liked DJANGO?” Rudin responded with “12 YEARS,” and Pascal came back with other films starring African Americans: “Or the butler. Or think like a man?"----why is she working in Hollywood 10 years later and in charge of all things the Bond franchise?

RIP Dame Stella Rimington, the real-life inspiration for Judi Dench's Ms, or at least the first one (Barbara Mawdesley). BBC News apparently showed a clip from Goldeneye in their obituary of her.

Amazon CEO Andy Jassey said on a July 31 call (which highlighted his company’s better-than-expected Q3 earning) that “James Bond is in the hands of one of today’s greatest filmmakers,” and adding, “We cannot wait to get started on 007’s next adventure.”--------a far cry from Broccoli who had NO intention of ever doing anything as it would take her YEARS to figure out the next step she constantly stated. What a jerk she is!

To be fair, she did apparently approach Villeneuve to direct NTTD, but it conflicted with his Dune schedule. It's very obvious that she's been sitting on her hands since then, though.

Jeff Bezos has allegedly decided he won’t look far and wide to cast the next Bond Girl. According to Rob Shuter’s exclusive report, the Amazon founder wants his wife, Lauren Sanchez Bezos, to take on the role. A Hollywood insider told the outlet that the billionaire is “obsessed” with the idea of Sanchez taking over as the female lead!----good luck with that nonsense! He could steer the franchise over a cliff with junk actors.

2026 First Light trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4qY9DYE184 Further rumors have claimed Amazon wants the character to return to more light-hearted adventures with quips and gadgets, drawing a clear line between the latest take and the dark, gritty world of Daniel Cr-egg’s Bond era.

I'd like this rumour to be true, but their choice of director and writer doesn't suggest that a major change in tone is on the way.

Scott Rose-Marsh Screen Tests for Denis Villeneuve’s Bond 26

While some folks are still actually believing the rumors that Jeff Bezos is lobbying hard for his wife, Lauren Sanchez, to be the next Bond girl, here’s some actual credible 007 news.

A few weeks back, Vegas oddsmakers weighed in on the search for the new James Bond, touting Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the front-runner. This week, some legitimate reporting is suggesting that the search for the next 007 might be eyeing a lesser known name.

According to a THR source close to the project, 37-year-old Scott Rose-Marsh—a lesser known redheaded actor whose biggest credits are “Krays: Code of Silence” and “Wolves of War”—was brought in sometime in late June to read lines from “GoldenEye,” presumably for newly minted director Denis Villeneuve.

Rose-Marsh may have also tackled pages from the script that “Peaky Blinders” creator Steven Knight is said to be shaping for Bond 26. Whatever the material, the source says Rose-Marsh was given one piece of direction before the cameras rolled: don’t impersonate a previous Bond.
If Rose-Marsh did indeed test, it blows up one of the more persistent theories that Amazon, which reportedly paid $1 billion for the franchise this year, is angling for a 20-something Bond to lure younger audiences. Rose-March doesn’t fit that age bracket, and quite honestly, this is the first time I’ve even heard of him.

Neither Rose-Marsh’s publicist nor Amazon responded to requests for comment. However, it should be mentioned that there’s never been a ginger Bond, and that clearly doesn’t seem to be a dealbreaker for Amazon. Remember when fan backlash occurred after Daniel Craig’s blond hair triggered outrage?

For now, Rose-Marsh remains the only leaked actor to have auditioned for Bond 26. Whether he survives the long audition process, or becomes just another footnote, is anyone’s guess, but this is further proof that the race for 007 is shaping up to be an unpredictable one.
I'm sure this won't amount to anything but this is what he looks like anyway...
