I just went to see Superman. I have always been a superhero movie fan. This film is one of the WORST superhero, if not movies in general, ever made IMO. The plot was a joke and hard to follow. The best part was Krypto. Gunn should never be allowed to direct another film and whoever they hired as the screenplay writers should never be hired again. It is doing decently at the box office for some reason but not in my book. The lead actor as Superman was decent. A big for this garbage.
Funnily enough, I went to see it yesterday as well. I normally like James Gunn's work, but didn't like this as much as I expected to. With most modern blockbusters, I come out thinking that they could do with having 20 minutes trimmed. This one actually did have 20 minutes trimmed after the test preview screenings, and I think it made the pacing too frenetic. The main problem was the need to introduce a whole new cinematic universe, rather than focusing on the core of the story.

"He's the one that doesn't smile" - Queen Elizabeth II on Daniel Craig
Just looked at the cast list on IMDb, and noticed that the film included a character named Otis Berg. Nice little easter egg for fans of the Christopher Reeve films there.

A lot of it didn’t make sense , it felt cobbled together but I really thought the cast was decent if not good .
I would never see that type of junk. They have an Elvis tribute band near me every summer that is just fine to watch over that. As for Superman, it passed $500 million worldwide but I don't think it was a good film at all and the new Green Lantern looks like something out of Dumb And Dumber, as well as hawk girl and Mr. Terrific? The entire plot was a joke and introducing the Justice GANG had no place in this Superman film. Let them try to have a stand along film with that trio and see where that goes.
Bond producer brings musical to Hammersmith: James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli brings the hit musical Sing Street to Hammersmith's Lyric Theatre, which is her first since the franchise was sold to Amazon. The musical, which is an adaptation of John Carney's 2016 film, tells the story of Dublin teens forming a band to chase love and escape hardship.

Yeah, Elvis impersonators are just a bit of fun, but this feels like a cash grab. They are obviously trying to replicate the success of Abba Voyage, but the difference there is that Abba are still around to oversee the project. Creating a holographic image of a dead man feels ghoulish, somehow (though by the sound of it, they didn't actually do that, but sold tickets by pretending that they would.)

A rally organized to protest the cancellation of Stephen Colbert's flagship show fell flat with just 20 people showing up! Organizers gathered outside of the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City on Sunday, with fewer than two dozen people appearing to protest. He is the lowest of the low on television.
NEW findings gang: Hitting 10,000 steps a day is a goal for millions of us — but we should be focusing on the pace not the paces, according to a study. Research suggests that going on a daily brisk 15-minute walk could boost heart health and reduce risk of death by 19 per cent. US researchers, who studied more than 79,850 adults from low-income areas, found that a short brisk walk was more beneficial than walking at a slower pace for three hours, even when overall leisure-time physical activity levels were accounted for.
Amy Pascal and David Heyman are producing via "Pascal Pictures and Heyday Films", respectively. Tanya Lapointe will executive produce........will the intro now state.....PASCAL PICTURES and HEYDEY FILMS present IAN FLEMING'S JAMES BOND? We go from one lunatic egocentric woman overseeing Bond to another!
Doesn't sound to me like Pascal will have anywhere near the level of control that Babbzy did. I can't imagine her being able to single-handedly hold up a production for years at a time.

I go for two 30 minute walks every day! Get a pretty good step count in too.
Knight told BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast: "It has always been on my bucket list and it's fantastic to be invited to do it - I can't wait to get started. I'm hoping that, being a Bond fan for so many years, it will be imbued into me and I will be able to produce something that's the same but different, and better, stronger and bolder." However, Knight did not shed any light on which actor might portray 007 in the next film. When asked about it, Knight said: "That is a very, very good question, and one I can't give you the answer to." He did not elaborate as to whether this was because he does not know, or he is not allowed to reveal who it is, or because the decision hasn't been made yet.
