Bond 22 girls
Gemma thingy from St. Trinians (who shares an agent with Daniel Craig - wonder how she got cast!) and some stock European Ukranian bimbo have been cast as the alarmingly young Bond girls for Bond 22.
Bring back Bond!

Alarmingly young?
This isn't new. Not to mention Olga is older than Eva Green
We've been getting twentysomething Bond girls since Live and Let Die, with only a few being in their 30s since that point (Maud Adams and Halle Berry).
But I do agree that we should have a more seasoned Bond girl sometime. The only time we had a woman older than Bond was Honor Blackman.

I always liked the fact Sir Rog ended up pulling women young enough to be his Granddaughter. IMO he had the charm to counter any age difference.stockslivevan wrote:Alarmingly young? This isn't new. Not to mention Olga is older than Eva Green

However, I'm not convinced Daniel Craig can pull this off. I guess time will tell in Bond 22, but I did like his idea of having Jane Seymour back as a Bond 'girl'.
Honor and Sean had great chemistry and Honor looked simply stunning.stockslivevan wrote:But I do agree that we should have a more seasoned Bond girl sometime. The only time we had a woman older than Bond was Honor Blackman.

Let me guess, you're both Moore fans?
Well good for you. I thought the only appropriate pairing in the Moore era was with Maud Adams. Her maturity matched Moore's Bond the best, I could never buy the other pairings, they didn't have the right chemistry. Maybe Stacey Sutton if only she was played by a better actress and they kept that "Bond looking after her" element intact instead of crashing it down with that awful shower scene... But I wouldn't be surprise if you guys liked that.

I thought the ending of AVTAK was great. How else could Sir Rog sign off.stockslivevan wrote:Let me guess, you're both Moore fans?Well good for you. For me, Moore had great on-screen chemistry with the Bond girls. He just had so much charm and class.

For me it was a case of too much charm and class and not enough edge. There has to be a balance which I thought Connery pulled off the best. I like Rog outside of Bond, he's got that gift for natural humor, but I just don't think he was right for Bond. Him changing the role to suit his style shows that he wasn't the type.
That's my opinion of course.
