Craig to do another 4 Bonds.
A report from the Hollywood Reporter states that DC has been hired to do another 4 Bond films.
I know that as a pro Craig fan i'am happy with that news...........and hopefully the new films will be great............but what do you chaps here
think of the news.

Hmm, it was a passing mention, and wasn't a direct quote, but it did get the Craig fanboys on CBn squeeeing.
"I think he should do 7"
"I think he should do 8, to break Roger Moore's record, even though he'd be as old as Moore in AVTAK by the end of his run"
"I think he should do 20 and stay in the role until he's 80, so that his run equals all the other Bonds put together".
Me, I can only quote Sgt. Wilson from Dad's Army: "Is that wise?"

Should he be bragging about resurrecting Fame & Death Wish?
Thomas Crown has already been 'resurrected' currently making a sequel. It seems he is counting about things already in production as well as future plans.
All one has to do set the Way-Back Machine for 2002 to know this is not a certainty. As side from all of that I do not believe Daniel is too eager to do two more after his original three unless his career tanks. He desperately wants to avoid being type cast, where as before he was just desperate to be cast.

He called franchises "the base of any studio," which is why he signed Daniel Craig to do four more James Bond films and he's planning on resurrecting the "Fame," "Death Wish" and "Thomas Crown Affair" franchises.
"Those were the days when we still associated Bond with suave, old school actors such as Sean Connery and Roger Moore,"
"Daniel didn't have a hint of suave about him," - Patsy Palmer

Since when is Fame a "franchise" anyway? It was a single movie that spun off into a TV series and later a Broadway musical. I suspect the new film will take the Producers/Hairspray route and be the film of the musical of the film. As for Death Wish, could this be referring to the recent Kevin Bacon starrer Death Sentence, which was based on the sequel to the novel that the original Death Wish was based on? I was tempted to see that, because it was shot in the city where I live, but I was put off by reports that it was grotesquely, sadistically violent.Blowfeld wrote:Should he be bragging about resurrecting Fame & Death Wish?

I hope so!You are all reading waaaay too much into it. It's just another rumour story. It amazes me that you all take it so seriously. Craig will probably be bored of Bond after his third film.....

BOND sells, NOT CRAIG
The reboot is a risky area, did Eon need to do it? NO. Did this confuse alot of people? YES.
The Bond character will always be anchored in the values of the 60s
