Lois Maxwell for "M"?

Post by Dr. No »

Roger Moore gave an eloquent interview about our dear departed Moneypenny .
He said "I think it was a great disappointment to her that she had not been promoted to play M. She would have been a wonderful M."

What about it?

I am going to say yes and agree with our Knighted 00.

I think it would have been strange to see Lois as M to Dalton with a new Moneypenny. Almost as strange as Judi Dench turning up in Craigsino Royale.

I think that the idea itself is good. The other thing is how it would look like if Moneypenny became M and there would be a new MP. Anyway, I guess she would've been better M than Judi Dench.

She has the right surname for it. Messervy, Mawdesley, Moneypenny.

She got promoted? It happens. Many senior civil servants started out as floor-scrubbers and bottle-washers. Secretary to agency head in a single step is a bit of a leap, though. She'd have to go through some intermediate stages first (head of branch, head of division etc.).

I was thinking of the GE when Dench was introduced as M.
It easier to explain a former Moneypenny as M than Craig's spy ;)
Come to think of it, it's easier to explain than the absence of Moneypenny from CR or why Dnech is still M

Anywho nobody would have noticed a thing, Joe Don Baker any one?
