According to the latest estimates, The Last Jedi only dropped 26% this weekend. It is now the 8th biggest film of all time domestically in unadjusted dollars, and the 66th in adjusted dollars, sandwiched in between The Two Towers and Back to the Future. It is #24 in the all-time worldwide unadjusted chart (there is no worldwide adjusted chart, as the figures are too unreliable, due to exchange rates etc).

What is weird is jumanji, it’s neck and neck with TLJ. It’s second weekend I though it’d drop more, it has little to no drop in attendance from last weekend.

Not sure 8th biggest domestically is all that great because they only just took that title by a few million from beauty and the beast.
No doubt TLJ is making Disney money, I think it’s final number will be closer to rogue one than TFA unless China goes nuts for it.

Suuuuuuuuure she was! I believe it don't you? Of course this second tier actress from a third tier show airing on a fourth tier network was the right in line to play opposite the Craigster in the very next film. Remarkable especially when you consider no one outside of Hopkins Minnesota (the heart of USA network's demographic) knew who this gal was, until she hitched herself to the royal wagon! Yes, she became "unattainable" because she was spotted on a few dates with the Big H and so, no one could touch her, except for the powerhouse producers of Suits that is!
Wow. Is this girl really a big enough deal to make a fuss over just because she’s marrying prince harry?

But DB is right EON was never going to use her it’s a lot of fun for them to say OMG! We were about to cast her in a movie we maybe might get to producing in two years!

Jumanji looks fun, and I wasn't even that big a fan of the original.

Jumanji topping TLJ Monday at the box office? This remake looks quite lame.

People always forget that Bowie did a fair amount of acting..and Bryan Fuller wanted him to play Hannibal's uncle but because of schedules(and Hannibal being cancelled) it never happened.

it’s not a remake. It a updated chapter of the series for the video game generation. Zathura is closer to a sequel of the original Jumanji. Jumanji welcome to the jungle is a stand alone film nothing to do with the original movie as far as I know.
It’s a fun movie, Staring Kevin Heart, the rock, jack black and most of all Karen Gillan.

Did you see Bowie as Nikolai Tesla in the prestige with Hugh Hackman? Incredible performance and about the only person with the unique weird world view to be authentic enough to portray Tesla the eccentric inventor.

I have seen it. I think it's a great shame that he turned down the role of Max Zorin in AVTAK. As great as Christopher Walken was, a Bowie Zorin would have been quite chilling. I can imagine that instead of maniacal laughter as he guns down the mineworkers, Bowie's Zorin would have had an icy detachment that would have been even more frightening.

This along with Anthony Hopkins backing out of TND are great losses to the bond series. I just wish AVTAK were a better movie, I don’t think Bowie could have changed the set story arc but he would be a lot scarier than Walken.

Here’s a comedy video of Walken singing a Bowie song

Definitely. Then again, Monica Bellucci was also eyed for the role that later went to Teri Hatcher. To my knowledge, she even screentested.

However, the roles that Hopkins and Bellucci were to play respectively differed a lot to that of what Pryce and Hatcher played. I have the original draft somewhere...
