Statham reminds me of Bond in his Transporter movies.

McClory passed away a couple of years ago.FormerBondFan wrote:If McClory is still around and plans to make an unofficial Bond, Statham would be perfect.
Come on are you serious? He would be as big a disaster as Craig. I could imagine that announcement:FormerBondFan wrote:Statham reminds me of Bond in his Transporter movies.
I prefer him over DC.Youngdean007 wrote:He would be as big a disaster as Craig.
Yes but in a world of choices they don't all have to be bad ones.FormerBondFan wrote:I prefer him over DC.Youngdean007 wrote:He would be as big a disaster as Craig.
Sean Connery was bald, that didn't stop Cubby.Youngdean007 wrote:bald
Sean wear a toupee.stockslivevan wrote:Sean Connery was bald, that didn't stop Cubby.Youngdean007 wrote:bald
That's not the point I was making. I was saying that just because an actor is balding doesn't prevent him from being a candidate to play Bond. I'm not saying Statham would make a good Bond, I just think it would be stupid to dismiss an actor for having a balding head despite the fact that Connery was also bald. If the next 007 actor happens to have a balding head I'd expect a lot of morons crying over how it makes the actor unsuitable.FormerBondFan wrote:Sean wear a toupee.stockslivevan wrote:Sean Connery was bald, that didn't stop Cubby.Youngdean007 wrote:bald
He's getting there.FormerBondFan wrote:Statham's not that bald.
I think it would be! I can't imagine him with hair at all.Capt. Sir Dominic Flandry wrote:He always has that tradmark shaven haircut. So, it would be rather jarring if he suddenly pitched up wearing a toupee.
Actor Jason Statham confessed he would like to be the next James Bond, arguing his latest role in "The Transporter", due in UK cinemas on November 18, is very similar with a XXI-th century Bond.
According to the New York Post the "Snatch" star said: "He's (Bond) been around for so many years.
"I'm a massive fan of James Bond, and I've seen every one of the movies. If I was to do that most prestigious role, then I think I'd add a new, modern feel to it, definitely."
He added: "He's the James Bond that drinks a Heineken, not a martini."
Jason Statham born 1972, is a British actor, known best for his work in the Guy Ritchie crime caper films "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" and "Snatch", though he has also appeared as a supporting character in several Hollywood productions such as "The One" and the American remake of "The Italian Job".
Urgh. Just goes to confirm that if Statham were to play Bond, we'd soon be saying "actually, maybe Daniel Craig wasn't that bad after all".Goldeneye wrote:From a 2005 interview
