Bond Cars

Post by BondFan007 »

I've heard alot of people complain that Bond wouldn't drive a mondeo, even though it was a hire car. But Bond, in his time, hasn't only driven luxury cars.

Remember TMWTGG's AMC Hornet hatchback? FYEO's Citroën 2 CV? TSWLM's telephone repair van? LALD's Double Decker Bus?

Is Bond's hirecar in Casino Royale really that bad?

Personally, I had a bigger problem with the man driving the car.

I must admit I haven't thought about it that way. Good point. I withdraw my complaint about Mondeo.

Has Bond ever driven a Bentley in the movies, like he did in the books?

You haven't seen Never Say Never Again.
Even From Russia With Love has a brief glimpse of a drophead Bentley but this is not the same car that Fleming wrote of.

Althoug I like Bond's present Aston I think it would be great if he drove Bentley in the next film. Continental GT fits perfectly. What do you think?

Whilst indeed beautiful cars, I think the new Bentley's are far too balky, and I'm not keen on the grill on the front.

I've seen them all, but I'm not the sort of fan who can rattle off a detailed list of every car Bond has ever driven. I know that there are other people whose Bond knowledge is far more encyclopaedic than mine, that's why I asked.

Maybe Daniel Craig could drive a plumber's truck in the next one.

A white van would seem appropriate.

You guys are just coming across as extremely bitter people.

Meanwhile, I, and millions of others, are looking forward to Bond 22.

But it this site and others like it apparently inspired DC in CR, hopefully it will again. If cheap cracks at an actor satisfy them then so be it.
If it helps make a better Bond then why not?

We can all agree on that. The problem is, it did not.
