The Wolverine slashes Craig's Quark.
the debut of Weaopn X's solo outing sold around 3 million its first week on dvd. On Blu-ray it sold around 750k copies.
Keep in mind that X-MEN Origins:Wolverine had a Domestic BO of: $180m and Foreign BO of $184M

No need to spin it.
As hard as you try you can't polish $h!t. That goes for both films.
Both QOS and Wolverine were on the whole...cr@p.

No question Craig has driven the Bond Brand backwards in great big steps.

Ouch. Do they count all the multiple copies of QOS bought by Bond nerds for their "collections",I wonder?

The sales figures don't lie...as much as the pro-Craigs try to tell you than selling a certain amount of videos-even if it takes 3 months!

Almost there, HP bumped Taken to 12 and quark to 24 for the 2009 year. If were weren't using the public list it would look a little bit different. Pinocchio would easily overtake Quark. But things are as they are so lets just go with what we got.

Code: Select all

1 Twilight 10m
2 Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 8.8m
3 Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa 8m
4 Up 7.1m
5 Star Trek 5.2m
6 Bolt 4.5m
7 Monsters vs. Aliens 4.5m
8 Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs 4.3m
9 The Proposal 4.2m
10 X-Men Origins: Wolverine 4.1m
11 Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
12 Taken 4m
13 Gran Torino 4m
14 G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra 4m
15 Marley and Me 3.6m
16 Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3.5m
17 Paul Blart: Mall Cop 3.3m
18 Dark Knight, The 3.3m
19 High School Musical 3: Senior Year 3.2
20 Hannah Montana The Movie 3m
21 Fast & Furious 3m
22 Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure 2.8m
23 Bedtime Stories 2.8m
24 Quantum of Solace 2.66m
25 Pinocchio 2.64m
26 Pineapple Express 2.63m

Sad. Even flops like Bedtime Stories and GI Joe are ahead of QoS.

Yeah, but it didn't do very well at the box office, as I recall.

Quark slides to 25 with The Hangover 3.9m debuting at #15 for the year. The robust December sales show a good deal of shifting in the ranks. I have a few thoughts to add next week when I can update the list for 2009 years in toto.

Code: Select all

    1 Twilight 10m
2 Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 9m
    3 Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa 8m
    4 Up 8m
5 Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 5.63m
    6 Star Trek 5.61m
    7 Monsters vs. Aliens 4.8m
8 Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs 4.7m
    9 Bolt 4.6m
    10 The Proposal 4.5m
    11 X-Men Origins: Wolverine 4.3m
12 G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra 4m
    13 Taken 4m
    14 Gran Torino 4m
    15 The Hangover 3.9m
    16 Marley and Me 3.6m
    17 Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3.5m
18 Paul Blart: Mall Cop 3.4m
    19 Dark Knight, The 3.35m
20 Hannah Montana The Movie 3.3m
21 High School Musical 3: Senior Year 3.26m
22 Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure 3.09m
    23 Fast & Furious 3m
    24 Bedtime Stories 2.8m
    25 Quantum of Solace 2.66m

I mentioned the Tinkerbell movie earlier, but I only just noticed that it outsold Pinocchio too. Kids of today, no taste where Disney is concerned. :cuss:

I thought Pinocchio's performance was nothing short of amazing: it is a 1940 movie, with four previous video releases, a total of three DVD releases, and one Blu-ray. The fact that it could sell 2.6m more copies and take on Quark a major Hollywood franchise to boot is great.
