If you watch the video below from the Doctor Who YouTuber Tharries he has a screenshot in which an 'insider' (groan) mentions the Bond casting while discussing Doctor Who rumours. The 'insider' claims Ben Hardy tested and Jacob Elordi was merely on an intial 'wishlist' rather than an actual candidate. None of this is verified - as was seemingly the case with Tom Francis. I still have a horrible feeling we are going to end up with Callum Turner. Or old big ears as BJ would say.

You are definitely not alone in seeing that resemblance! The comparison between the Masters of the Air and The Boys in the Boat star and the banjo-playing kid (played by actor Billy Redden) from the 1972 thriller Deliverance has become a surprisingly popular joke across internet forums. While some folks tease that Callum Turner looks like he could pick up a banjo for a reboot, he has spent the last few years landing major leading roles rather than strumming on rural porches. Wasn't me.

Anyway, I've just found out what Milly Alcock said:  “Simply existing as a woman in that space is something that people comment on. We have become very comfortable having this weird ownership of women’s bodies.” *That's* controversial? Talk about making her point for her.

A little out of context or maybe what i saw is out of context.
What I saw was she was trying to complain about fans who were not happy with her drunk supergirl. Maybe somebody else connected the dots but following up with “Dad of four, Christian,” and “if you’re pissing the right kind of people off, you’re doing OK.”

Change that to :Father of four, Muslim. Father of four, Jew. Father of four, Hindu.
Would that fly?

Honestly, she’s not the best example, you got actors doing a lot, worse damage to their series and their career.
My only point with Milly is that she didn’t have to have this, just stay the course let the movie come out. Let the studio defend you. If there’s a problem. That’s what they’re paying to do.

there’s a lot of people that are curious to see the big screen Supergirl movie, I think she’s gonna be OK regardless.

Especially in the comic book/ sci-fi genre it seems to be there’s a trend of female stars lashing back at the fans they think are all fan boys, but my experience that’s not true either.
I think they have the mistake idea what it is to be a feminist.
And last point that takes her side for the initial comment, the movie industry, and the pornography aren’t that different. They’re targeting peoples looks and body types to sell and is not female or male that are singled out. The whole industry is looking to sell an attractiveness.

I do feel the complaints about her weak sauce. And I feel her complaints at this point are weak sauce.

She's just a product of her era, one in which virtue signaling, outrage, and blame are passed off as activism, journalism, and critique.

I'm not familiar with her comments but I'd be surprised if she's managed to wade into any feminist territory Helen Slater hasn't already covered over the past 40 years. (The difference being, there's no real money to be made in attacking Helen Slater online, as she now has more worth as nostalgia bait.)

The bottom line is people are always going to hate getting older and you can get a lot of clicks by exploiting that fact. That's the entire grift in a nutshell. After all, why bother to develop a true craft the way Pauline Kael or Roger Ebert did when you can just slap some googly eyes on a screencap and offer people an easy scapegoat for why their life sucks?

It will be the same for the next Bond film. A quick Google search reveals it already is for the new Bond game.

It would be even worse when you consider the kid didn't actually play the banjo!

Mensjournal.com: 41 Years Ago Yesterday: The Most Hated James Bond Movie Was Released. Despite a giant budget and a star-studded cast, this was a rare miss in the 007 film franchise."A View to a Kill" is widely regarded as one of the worst Bond movies. Roger Moore acknowledged being too old for the role, saying, “I was only about 400 years too old.” Critical rankings consistently place it near the bottom, just above Casino Royale (1967).

The movie MICHAEL, which I did see, has a 39% RT ratings from the critics, yet a 97% positive review by the audiences! Was there ever better proof that Hollywood movie critics are useless and should be done away with and let then find a real job complaining elsewhere? The film has grossed $800 million worldwide!

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu after an estimated $25.5M Saturday is heading to a $97M-$98M 4-day. That Saturday is a tad higher than Solo: A Star Wars Story‘s $24.6M. Know that $100M 4-day is still in play. Many rivals see it there, but Disney always has a better sense of their numbers, not to mention if they don’t see it, they won’t call it. We’re hearing from sources that international is around $69M, however that figure is unverified by Disney. That would bring the Jon Favreau directed movie to north of its $160M WW forecast, around $167M WW on the high-end.

What is going on here? I posted 4 things and they appear, then disappear, then reappear, and then I am kicked off the website and have to sign in again and again? Where is Goldeneye and what update did he do recently that is causing this?

It seems the choice is between a metric tonne of bots, and our most prolific contributors being locked out. Curse you, Putin!

Sounds like antibot measures to me. Then again I used to get that post form not being correct from a long time ago. In quick reply. So that’s maybe the software
It’s been working on Tapatalk . I rarely go back to the safari page.

My guess is they set the forum for red alert under constant attack.
Maybe they should relax those settings, but I don’t know what’s keeping the bots far enough away it stays online.

1 week ago I couldn’t see it on Tapatalk and safari would load then the server hit the limit.
It’s moving in the right direction, If they can get the rest of it sorted out that would be great. No pressure.

You know I wasn’t going to say this, but our governments , uk , USA , could stop these nuisance, bots, and IP address in their tracks. We paid trillions of dollars for intelligence agencies to track this stuff and it wouldn’t take them 30 minutes to sort it out.

And when they said China was the source ip for the attack my fist thought was it’s not China. But they know, that I know, that they know I know. So it. Probably is China.

Btw they made the meme in to a tee shirt

Most of the bot posts were in Russian rather than Chinese, though I'm not sure that means much.
