Looking at the mindset and posts of many and to be fair as the site title suggests they have there right to an opinion, but the way I see it the site has a limited lifespan as it is.

We are still here and continuing to post. I actually feel this is a better Bond Forum than any I have been to before.

I don't think it's a bad forum myself, the moderators are fairly easy going and tolerant. But in what respect makes you feel this is the best?

The balance of members is good. The forum would not work without guys like you and Sweeney. I appreciate we disagree on the majority of topics, but if we all agreed it would be boring.

I don't think any of the other sites address controversial issues to the same degree as this site.

With that in mind what happens to this place when Bond #7 is cast?
CraignotBond will hosting the biggest celebration party ever :D
The site will become yesterdays news will it not?
I hope this forum grows because it really is the most democratic one. AJB have locked down a couple of anti-Craig threads recently (I can understand that they're tired of the same old debates but anyway...) and CommanderBond.net is a one-sided fanboy Craig luvfest.

Why would I?

1) I do have more than one brain cell

2) I am a Bond fan at the end of the day, so still respect what Brosnan did as Bond, even if I didn't agree with the casting (Shock! Horror! I hear the anti-Craiger's say....How on earth can this be possible.... )

3) Because at the end of the day, internet sites have the power of a Duracell battery at an Ann Summers party - nil! It is pointless. EON will do what ever they desire, regardless of internet popularity. CR should have taught you that lesson.

4) To start an internet protest site is usually because you don't want something to happen. Not after the event as already happened, and is now part of history.

`Fraid not. I was having recurring nightmares that a nasty Bond film was once made, involving laughable CGI effects, an abysmal Bond, a shockingly awful storyline and an invisible car.

Thankfully I woke up this morning and realised it was all just a bad dream.....or was it?

Millions of fans went ballistic after Craig was annonced as Bond. Prior to it's release on the cinema they vowed to boycott CR. Looking at the 'Sinking Ship' & 'Alternative Bond' sites it seems a lot of these fans were eventually tempted to see it. Probably because there was nowt else on. This explains the good box office. However most of these people did'nt like it (read the reviews). Not sure why anyone who has seen it would want to buy the DVD or recommend it. I have boycotted both but have watched a friends DVD of it. My view, - bring back David Niven !!

To review the film after only one viewing is IMO not the basis on which to be fair. I appreciate you and many others will not want to endure it again, but I felt it was the only way I could be fair with my appraisal.

I had to have a look after the universally positive reviews and a common consensus that Casino Royale was something special. I thought I had got it wrong, and was ready to admit it. But, after watching the film, I have to say: what on earth is everyone going on about?
Bring back Bond!

I have to agree. I had no intention in seeing this movie, yet I had one too many people who's tastes I trust tell me they liked it. after having one person tell me that this was the best Bond film ever, I broke down. but I came out of the theatre feeling cheated. It seemed like I had seen a Die Hard film without the charismatic lead of Bruce Willis.
