Is it possible that Moore actually may LIKE Craig as Bond anyway, or is that ludicrous.....?

You all find it hard to believe that Moore doesn't like Craig because you don't like him. It's as simlple as that. If Moore was endorsing Brozza I guess none of you would be suspecting a hidden EON agenda.

Maybe you all forget that outside this forum there is a world out there with many critics, fans and reviewers praising Craig to the hilt, the second coming, better than Connery, etc. If they can see that, what is stopping Sir Rog too.....?

So what was the bit with Rog criticizing Die Another Day? Or his disliking of A View to a Kill? If he doesn't like Craig, he could simply say "I haven't seen his films", wouldn't he?
Rog will support whoever gets the role. No questions asked.
Sean doesn't care and has made that clear for years.
Tim is the same boat as Rog,
Brozza can't bitch about nothing and keep working. Sony won't like it if he encourages people to avoid their films Bond or no. Unfortunately for Borzza some of his nuttiest fans were the loudest voices against Craig, so he needs to step doubly careful.

About what Rog wrote, it stinks. He can write whatever he want and is free to like whatever he wants. When he write something like this full of Eon talking points people are going to notice and questions his sincerity.
He is flogging a book, begging Sean to work with him in a movie and his son Geoffrey has(had) his own troubled production company.
He also recommended his son take up the mantel of Bond after pierce left, Looking at him it is clear why Eon rejected the idea immediately.

Sort of sad Sir Rog's last days are going to be remembered for him being a puppet.

Maybe this site should ask for equal time, Capt. Sir Dominic Flandry do you feel up to the challenge? ;)

This may sound a little crazy, but you don't suppose for one minute that Moore actually could be speaking the truth here. Is it possible? Is it possible that another former Bond actor likes Craig as much as many others on the planet do? I know, it sounds crazy doesn't it. Who in their right mind would like such a nasty thing as Craig and CR. it just doesn't make sense.

There must be hidden agendas at play here. He must be doing it to please EON surely. How could Sir Rog POSSIBLY like Craig? How dare he!! It just doesn't add up....

I already allowed for the possibility you mention.
However when Sir Rog hits all the main company talking points I take notice. When he reverses his other publicly held opinions on violence in movies, yeah I wonder what going on in this melon.

He may have asked Eon what could he do to help, unless there is a major undercurrent to end Bond then his remarks come out of left field.
Personally I think he was after the attention and to leach on for some major books sales.

When he said everyone will forget about Sean and me once they see Pierce (apparently he already forgot about Dalton  ), yeah he was making Eon friendly sales pitches. However because of the abuse he has taken he feels the actor can not be questioned or criticized. So as I said before he would defend Paris Hilton cast as Bond.

Resorting to captioned images :? Wonder where you got that Idea? ;)
Probably the same place you got the idea the putting "THIS IS NOT A DANIEL CRAIG HATE SITE." in your sig would make a statement and irritate the people here.

You already tired that one on me when you mistook my Quark reference.

It irritates me, especially since he always uses the same gifs. And the all caps in his sig irritates me and I told him so

It's evident he liked Daniel Craig's Bond, just as praised Pierce Brosnan's Bond. As Kristatos said, it's surprising that he likes Craig's more violent Bond, but then as Skywalker said, he expressing the opinion that Craig's Bond suits the audiences needs of today.

Even if Roger did not like Craig (and I don't have any evidence he does not, he probably has more serious things to dislike) then being quite close to Eon and having noticed the abuse Craig received before his first Bond two years ago, then I would have been surprised if he had slagged off Daniel Craig in his book.
Bring back Bond!

You may have a point regarding book sales. All this topical stuff makes for headline quotes for people to buy his book.

However, there is one thing merely defending Craig `Give the guy a chance, he's a great actor, etc.' and another in the amount of praise he has heaped up on him, including comments about comparing him to Fleming's Bond. This has been given a bit more thought than a corporate friendly line to defend him. It sounds to me like Moore is a Fleming fan too, by what he says on the books, so he obviously knows enough on the subject to comment on it.

With regards the violence, he has merely pointed out this Bond is more appropiate for the uncertain times we live in now. EON have evolved Bond, updated him to this modern world.

Incidentally, one of my mates queued up for hours in London a couple of days ago to get Sir Rog to sign his new book. I was going to go too, but got called into another meeting at the last minute. I was gutted, as I would liked to have met him.

I've been near him before, but not up close. I managed to blag a ticket to Cubby's memorial service at Odeon Leicester square years ago. Great day out. Met Peter Franks from DAF, shook hands with Christopher Lee, had my photo taken with Caroline Monroe (TSWLM). Me and my mate sat at the back of the cinema, listening to the different tributes from Desmond, Moore, Brozza, Dalton etc. thinking `What the hell are we doing here!!'
