Occasional snows, in the 20s-30s, but no 13 day stretch under 32 degrees and 48 straight hours of sub-zero wind chills like we will have now. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :!:-------------------NFL's TV ratings drop following a season of injuries, anthem protests. Viewership down about 10% from 2016 :!: :Bonk:

I had no idea this existed...apparently, there was a series of spy novels written in the '60s by Hammer's best screenwriter, Jimmy Sangster, about an air stewardess turned spy. I wouldn't normally share a promoted post from my Facebook feed, but this sounds like something that people here would enjoy: https://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/as ... feather-20

ESPN has cut ties with Donovan McNabb and Eric Davis over sexual harassment allegations that surfaced from their time at NFL Network. McNabb and Davis had both been named in a lawsuit alleging harassment at NFL Network, with McNabb accused of sending explicit and inappropriate text messages to former wardrobe stylist Jamie Cantor. Davis was alleged to have touched Cantor's genitals without consent. Image NFL Network suspends Marshall Faulk, Heath Evans and Ike Taylor after ex-wardrobe stylist Jami Cantor accuses them of sexual harassment in lawsuit that also names Warren Sapp and Donovan McNabb.

I saw this two months ago, and it's definitely worth a read, Kristatos. Hell of a book. At least the first story, that is.

Annette Bening has praised Barbara Broccoli as a "quite remarkable" woman. The 59-year-old Academy Award nominee stars as real life actress Gloria Grahame in the romance 'Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool', and although admitting she felt nervous, Bening had nothing but praise for the James Bond producer. Speaking to Collider, Bening said: "There's always a nervousness factor when I work on anything, but not in relation to this producer because she's quite remarkable. She's just got the biggest heart and she's incredibly well organized. She inherited the Bond franchise, and she produces those films, so she has evolved into this absolutely extraordinary woman. "She's just a fine human being, as well as being a great pro. I felt a great responsibility. All of us who were on this and who put ourselves into it felt a great responsibility to make this work and to make the things that we wanted to do happen, in a way that was real and believable and, at the same time, not sentimental." Domestic: $59,434 in only 4 theaters last weekend here :!: --------Only $1,261,960 after 7 weeks in the UK :!:  Well done Barbara, you've reached the next plateau :!:  Annette Bening obviously has severe psychological issues, as she praises the work done on this trash film that nobody even went to see. The Golden Globes will be another farce this Sunday as well. They should give Dustin Hoffman the new Lifetime Sexual Assault Achievement "Weinstein Trophy", and have that narcissist Meryl Streep present it to him :!:  Meryl Streep Says Dustin Hoffman Did in Fact Slap Her While Filming 'Kramer vs. Kramer', which was 39 years ago :!: :!: :!: Image

Wasn’t BJ worried about Babs film taking away from Jedi?
Ah sounds like standard Hollywood ass kissing. Babs must really want an award and her buddy Harvey Weinstein can’t help.

Ok now I really think Jumanji:WTTJ is out preforming in a odd way, looks like it going to be another close weekend for first place. It may win the award for best preforming movie that never got #1 for the weekend.

I said at the time that it wasn't very likely, but I wasn't expecting it to bomb quite that badly. Granted, it has only opened in the UK/Ireland and US/Canada so far, but when those to territories between them can't get it to $60000, it doesn't bode well for its eventual worldwide total. Granted, it likely would have cost a lot less to make than a Bond film, but with stars like Bening in the cast, it can't have been that cheap to make. BOM doesn't give a budget, meaning that the studio wouldn't have disclosed it, and with good reason.

Big O, you saw both? How is Jumanji topping TLJ by a lot now every single day :?: I cannot believe how underperforming TLJ is doing. I thought $1 billion here, with Fisher's last film and higher ticket prices and the anticipation. It might not reach $700 million in the USA.

Jumanji is a blast to watch, the whole cast is inspired and there’s no bloat in the story, no useless background.
It’s a feel good movie going experience. [spoil]jack black plays a teenage girl, not much of a spoiler since it’s in the trailer. It’s a video game avatar where part of the lesson (I guess) is the nerdy weak guy is the Rock, the jock is Kevin Heart, the shy girl is the ever so hot Nebula from GotG, and the stuck up pretty girl is Jack Black. On a teenage high school level the story logic works.[/spoil]

Where as Last Jedi leaves a lot to be desired and the more you think about the direction the story takes the less it makes sense. The after Return of the Jedi book series was mostly bad with a few good story arcs, last Jedi makes me really miss the crappy book universe. Which TFA actually borrowed some of their better ideas from.
Disney screwed up letting one man have such input over such a central story. Even JJ Abrams collaborated with the creative people Lucas alienated.

IMHO even people who say they love TLJ will be annoyed by the crappy plot holes and misuse of characters before long. You’ll find revised reviews around now with people still putting down fans like me but questioning a lot of the movie as unnecessary.

I’ve done a couple of searches normally there will be something out there about budget someplace, like Justice league and The last Jedi even though I don’t think the studios gave bo mojo the numbers, Last Jedi is probably slightly over $250 million not counting p&a according to one story I read. Nobody is concerned because as long as it makes a billion Disney laughs (in a squieeky high pitch mouse kind of way ) all the way to the bank.

On Babs movie all I found that was relevant as a interview with Babs about how much stress there is because she cares about the finished product so much. So much pressure it’s like a big budget bond movie, oh poor Babs.

Posted without comment, as every comment I started to type looked like cheap point-scoring against Mr Haggis: https://thinkprogress.org/paul-haggis-r ... b4c3b3e60/

It seems 90% of Hollywood men were using coercive means to have their way with women, the very liberal people who preach the virtue of their causes and attempt to instruct the rest of us on who to like, who to accept, etc. Frauds galore and on tonight's Golden Globes show watch the pathetically untalented liberal host Seth Myers attack Trump far more than the now scores of liberal Hollywood leeches that have been exposed to the public, yet were known by all of the Hollywood insiders, who did nothing about it, until now, which renders their credibility on life null and void :!:

Weekend estimates have Jumanji 2 at #1. Worldwide, it's grossed over $400 million off a $90 million budget.

That nails the box office coffin shut on long legs for TLJ :!: I wonder if our FBF has seen it 20 times by now?-------------------The Post: Director: Steven Spielberg Actors: Tom Hanks---Meryl Streep-------$50 million budget---------after "3" weekends, only $3,849,656 :!: It cannot get theaters to run in either it appears :!:  All 3 left-wing liberals wasted their time on this garbage and good riddance to their future films :!:--------The Justice League is basically done at: Worldwide: only $652,825,639 :!: ------Wonder Woman slaughtered Justice League--------The Avengers Infinity Wars should double the Justice League total, if not more. I don't think the audiences will turn on Infinity Wars the way the did on The Last Jedi.
