Jumanji 2 seems to have gone up in its second weekend. That's pretty unusual for a wide release nowadays. The normal pattern seems to be a big opening weekend followed by a second weekend drop of 50-65%.

They are forecasting 13 straight days of temperatures below 32 degrees in NYC and that has not happened in a long time. Global warming/climate change? The weather in NYC has pretty much remained a constant throughout the decades. The summers are rightfully hot and the winters are rightfully cold here. Nobody will start riding horseback nor live without electricity, etc.

Very unusual at the least. IMHO it’s people and maybe families that were inclined to go to Star Wars multiple times and just didn’t feel it so chose the next best available movie. Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think jumanji does this kind of business without Star Wars.
This is a Sony movie that does not feel like a Sony movie, last year or so we got a couple of decent movies from them. Last decade the it was crap remakes like ghostbusters, robocop, total recall, Spider-Man, karate kid, pixels.
Now it’s slightly better movies although remakey magnificent 7, jumanji 2, passengers, sort of better Spider-Man, but the still put out crap like dark tower, inferno and sausage movie. IMHO the bad crap it’s left over projects and continued involvement with Pascal.

wow that would be interesting to see. I think the kept rewriting as the filmed.
Supposedly there a CR script written for pierce Brosnan out there too.

Indeed, Big O. Originally, the main villain was called Sir Elliot Harmsway with royal ties to the Hong Kong Principality, and had a very cool, calm and haunting characteristics that were exactly the opposite in Elliot Carver (Pryce)'s persona. Paris Harmsway, on the other hand, was very over-dramatically crazy who requests Bond's help so he'd take her away from her abusive husband's clutches. Zukovsky was also set to return, this time running for Ukraine's presidential office. Wai-Lin was clearly absent and her role was filled by an adventuress whose legal guardian is Sir Elliot Harmsway. Sadly, Dr. Kauffman was missing in this draft, too.

I can send you the piece if you like.

I didn’t laugh so Colbet isn’t funny? ;)

There’s a difference in wanting a clean environment and low impact from mankind and the belief everybody most behave/be forced to act in a certain way to save the planet.
The global warming industry and political agenda deserves a kick to the crotch from time to time.
Honestly in space, in other planetary environments, the Cold is a bigger problem to life. Heat in the universe is finite.
Mankind has no idea where earths normal is, this assumption it’s relatively recent is as stupid as people believing their emotions control the weather.

Global cooling was a theory in the 1970s (and in Russia today), global warming replaced nuclear winter as primary threat to life. Computer models are still crap. I say let’s keep the environment clean and pollution to a minimum and hope for the best. It’s most likely cyclical weather changes we can’t begin to grasp.

Weird thing slightly off topic in ancient times the end of the world prophecies sometime had a concern about them happening in winter, as one professor told me even in the ancient past they had an awareness of the earth passing into more solar based cycles like mini ice ages than we thought they did, so a prophecy of doom in winter may have been more specific to a larger global event than seasonal occurrence.

His point was we can’t assume ancient man was a idiot, they survived a harsher world than we have known in hundreds of years all while managing to create language, culture and society.

ANYTHING Colbert says is forgettable!: He is a pathetic excuse for a human being and is typical of those he represents. He is NOT funny, whatsoever, and he was about to be replaced by James Corden before the election in 2016 due to dismal ratings. His ONLY shtick is knocking Trump nightly and CBS head Les Moonves should be ashamed of himself for allowing this piece of filth to exist on his network. He is by far, the WORST late night host EVER, and if he launched himself off of the Golden Gate Bridge, he would do the world a great service :!:

Look at Gore and Dicaprio "O" :!: They live in MULTIPLE homes and fly PRIVATE jets, and have NO financial worries, yet they want the 'rest of us' to live in huts, use candles, and ride horseback :!: Clean air and water MUST be achieved, but entering into moronic global deals where BILLIONS of dollars go from the USA to other countries is a ridiculous concept.

M : Come in, 007. You know the Minister?

BOND
Of course.
(nods to)
Minister Johnstone.

MINISTER JOHNSTONE
007.

Bond sits in an armchair. M presses a button, and a video/bio of
ELIOT HARMSWAY appears on the wall behind her. Mid-50's, regal.

M
Tell me, 007, what do you know about
Elliot Harmsway?

BOND
(quipping)
Only what I read in the newspapers.

MINISTER JOHNSTONE
(disdainfully)
His newspapers?

If it's on the internet, I can find anything :!: -------Jumanji is now kicking TLJ's rear at the daily box office. :hair: What a turn of events. FBF may not be able to keep up his box office pace to stem the tide.

It's pretty common for old satellites and other "space junk" to come falling back down to Earth. But while hundreds of pieces of debris come down each year, scientists are nervously watching a 19,000-pound Chinese space station's course because its out-of-control route is making it impossible to figure out where it will crash, CBS Denver reports. The unmanned space lab named Tiangong-1 is expected to crash back down to Earth at some point in March. China reportedly lost control of the lab nearly two years ago, in June of 2016. The Chinese government later released an estimate that predicted Tiangong-1 would come down at some point in late 2017. The vague guess has led experts to conclude that the country's space agency has lost all ability to direct the crashing station's course or know where it will land.

Yes, it was originally written as Brosnan's swansong, which is a movie I'd have liked to see. CR with no reboot and no Daniel Craig. I think it's a d**n shame that Brosnan never got to do a more low-key Bond film in the OHMSS/FYEO vein.

I know kater23 was said to have it somewhere, but does anybody really possess a copy of that script? I'd love to read it.
