Cr-egg will be 54 in 2022 and look 75 :!: Broccoli will be 62 in 2022 as well and she will bail as producer I predict without her protege to fawn over :!:------Reports suggest that one of the reasons behind Craig’s U-turn is the fact that Sam Mendes stepped down as director after Spectre. “Daniel and Sam were best buddies when they first started working together and you would constantly see them laughing and joking,” said the insider. “But after filming had been going on for a while, things started to change. There were a few areas in which they had very different creative opinions and their friendship did become strained.” "There is no time to waste on getting Daniel locked in," the source continued. "But the deal is almost done and the idea of returning to On Her Majesty's Secret Service for the 26th movie is really exciting. The film sees James get married, only for his wife to be killed, so it would be an explosive way to end his reign as 007." ------------ S Anderson 7 Aug 2017 11:33AM

Mistake. He's getting too old.

EON is now doing remakes of OLD Bond films and changing the storylines to seem like they have original ideas. The masses have tired of Cr-egg and Broccoli is in for a rude awakening in 2019 because the box office will keep lowering now with each film Cr-egg releases for them. His time has truly passed. Broccoli just does not get it. She is the queen of DE-NIAL now :!:

Australian scientists at the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) ordered a review of temperature recording instruments after the government agency was caught tampering with temperature logs in several locations. Scientist Marohasey claimed at the time that BOM’s adjusted temperature records are “propaganda” and not science. She analyzed raw temperature data from places across Australia, compared them to BOM data, and found the agency’s data created an artificial warming trend. Marohasey said BOM adjustments changed Aussie temperature records from a slight cooling trend to one of “dramatic warming” over the past century.

In the letter, Judicial Watch noted that public records obtained on the Election Assistance Commission’s 2016 Election Administration Voting Survey and through verbal accounts from various county agencies show 11 California counties have more registered voters than voting-age citizens: Imperial (102%), Lassen (102%), Los Angeles (112%), Monterey (104%), San Diego (138%), San Francisco (114%), San Mateo (111%), Santa Cruz (109%), Solano (111%), Stanislaus (102%), and Yolo (110%).........MP, what's with your city of San Diego? It was the worst for fraudulent voting :!:

I was thinking the exact same thing! There is sort of a best and worst case with all the actors when talking about their films. With Connery he's ether the benchmark all others are compared to, or a sexiest fiend worthy of being burned at the stake, depending on what rag your reading. Lazenby is totally forgotten. Moore is the opposite of Craig, his accolades are couched with criticism or he's dismissed as the "joke Bond" (when they aren't calling him a racist  ). Dalton is considered underrated if he's mentioned at all. Brosnan is given a begrudging credit for Goldeneye re-awaking the sleeping series before getting cut into over how "terrible" he was, or they skip giving credit altogether. Finally as you say Blowfeld, Craig is ether BESTEST BOND EVA!!!!!! or it's, HE'S GREAT!! but we have a few niggles.
Similar to a notional tragedy where it might be too soon to speak, before criticizing it is prudent to praise what is about to be criticized. Something like that.
I can not comprehend why so many are willing to forfeit their own opinion to go along with popular sentiment from years ago which no long holds sway today. Comment sections are no longer filled in by fanbots, genuine real criticism replaced the social narrative Sony engineered in 2006 yet so many who want to write about perhaps, maybe, someday replacing Daniel feel shy about doing so. I suspect it is fear over sponsor backlash rather than public. Too much revenue to be lost by caress words, althou maybe I am too cynical.

tbp82 wrote:While, in many ways that Craig killed the franchise for some on this board his impact on the franchise is undeniable. We had Die Another Day love Brosnan or hate him it was a over the top fiasco in a time where The Bourne Identity was showing that a dark gritty spy movie could work. Craig came in with Casino Royale and delivered that Bourne Identity type of movie that none-Bond fans were clamouring for at the time. In many ways Craig and his portrayal of Bond saved the franchise and even introduced the character to a whole new crowd. Now I know some will say Craig wasn't playing "the character" and in many ways that's not wrong. But, Craig's portrayal of Bond has become the bond for none-bond fans which lead to financial success. Love him or hate him Craig's put his stamp on Bond and unless he does one more and it completely bombs (and I think if he does there's a good chance it bombs) his legacy as Bond is secure.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with you here tbp, Craig didn't save the franchise because the franchise didn't need saving. DAD is ether the 5th or 6th highest grossing Bond film of all time depending on whether or not your'e adjusting for inflation. I admit DAD went several "bridges too far" thus it is one of my least favorites, and the series definitely needed to tone things down a bit, that's part of the "Bond cycle". Unfortunately they threw the baby out with the bathwater. I get a film needs to appeal to a wide audience to make money, but you can't be all things to all people, you don't destroy a franchise to cater to people who don't like it, that creates just another generic action film. You need to hold on to some aspects of what defined the character to begin with. Look at it this way, think of Bond like a shrub, if it gets wild and overgrown it needs pruning to look attractive again, but at some point you need to stop cutting or all you'll be left with is a bare root. You can't strip away all that made Bond "Bond" and still call him Bond.
I believe if Casino Royale as produced in 2006 were released in 1962/3 as the first 007 movie the franchise would have selfdestructed on the launchpad. The Daniel Craig movie series is nothing special, maybe best described as a spectacle because of what it was supposed to be. Bond series was perhaps a victim of its own success going back to Bondmania where the producers became aware they had something and this something became engrained on the conciousness of popular culture. Because of this at times in the Roger Moore era Bond himself was aware he was in a James bond movie and was in on the joke, the joke is now there is a bloke who is totally un-James Bond playing James Bond in a James Bond movie and is he completely aware of it.
Only thing I can think of to explain why Daniels 007 did not fail is the novelty of 'it's Bond but not' for so many who causally like the idea of James Bond as seen in the commercial for the movie marathon over the holidays.

Speaking to the new rumours about bringing Daniel back for another tiring excursion compounded by remaking movies already made by EON is a direct violation of the promises made by Barbara and Michael circa 2007 when faced with fan concerns they would take the reboot too far by remaking Live and Let Die for Bond 22, back then they thought it was the 'third rail' of Bond, a decade later they are so bereft of ideas fans willing accept bad remakes as poor homages to better films.

The new rumours are just that, rumours. As you know, I never believe anything Bond-related until it's officially announced, but I'll be especially surprised if this OHMSS remake turns out to be true.

Actually in a way they already remade OHMSS with SP, so doing a proper remake would essentially be making the same film back to back.

Was about to say this. SP was a remake of OHMSS, partly why don't believe the rumors about shatterhand and this, it doesn't seem like it's directly out of the horses mouth.

It seems more like someone has been trawling the fan forums for unfounded speculation and passing it off as news. I'm expecting a "Bond 25 will be a period piece set in the '50s" story any day now.

Ok a story from June say he signed up for another season of Luther and this took him out of bond because it would conflict with filming and the bond can not do double duty. MGM supposedly wanted him story is from June 27th
When did they move bond to 2019?

Funny how this story that sounds like the studio in the past was ignored and the rumors craig is back make the rounds almost as if a publish were behind it
