Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
A round up of the latest speculation. I hope most of this doesn't happen.
* Barbara has met with directors Joe Wright, Yann Demange and Paul McGuigan.
* Nicolas Winding Refn could also be in the frame.
* Steven Knight might write the screenplay.
* Purvis & Wade will be involved.
* Michael G. Wilson is retiring and his son Gregg will replace him as co-producer.
* Eon's top two candidates to replace Daniel Craig are Tom Hiddleston and Tom Hardy.
* Sony will distribute.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
the logic behind their classification is puzzling, if there is no blood and no lasting damage its ok. (Remember all the complaints about Brisbane bond, and it fine if they use that logic for Craig when it's even more ridiculous ?) The fact the used Craig's facial expressions to suggest their pain gives them an out how were they to know what he was feeling with a face like that? Are those duck lips of pain?Kristatos wrote:SPECTRE the most complained about film in 2015, say UK censors. http://google.com/newsstand/s/CBIwm8GU6iU
What I actually suspect it got away with it because it's a bond film and its Britain.
I agree about the Kingsmen that was a solid R rating, so a 18 over there?
The minions ? Did they have nothing better to do with their time than complain?

I can believe P&w, MGW,
I can't believe hardy and Sony will be back. Sony f'ed up sooooo badly I can't imagine eon & MGM would want them or the new Sony heads would be willing to make the same bad deal Amy pascal made.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Kingsman was a 15, but a lot of people thought it should have been an 18. I personally don't agree, the violence was mostly stylised and cartoonish, which took the edge off it for me. It is becoming increasingly rare for films to get 18 certificates over here. They're not quite as elusive yet as the American NC-17 rating, but that's the direction it seems to be heading.

Um, it was comic book violence but the church blood bath was well violent, I wouldn't give it pg-13, 15? I'm not sure how that works, it is closer to the R, not sure, might be ok. Thinking of the rating system here I'm not sure because it and deadpool I thought deserved the R but 15 year olds ought to be ok to see it. I dunno it only a business rating anyway, can't get the pg-13 , 12 audience then the 15 audience is almost just as goodKristatos wrote:Kingsman was a 15, but a lot of people thought it should have been an 18. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
12A is the equivalent to a PG-13 over here. I suppose 15 is close to an R while 18 is similar to the NC-17 in principle, but not as commercially suicidal. It's almost unheard of for a studio pic to get an NC-17 nowadays. Most multiplexes won't show NC-17 films, and some local newspapers won't even include them in their movie listings. 18 films aren't quite as ostracised over here, but it is becoming less and less desirable for distributors. Gone are the days when an 18 certificate was actively sought out for some genres, such as horror movies and erotic thrillers.

Independence Day was down 60% too. It's done, at least in the US and Canada.Omega wrote:BFG flopped with a lot of promotion and positive buzz. Tarzan, never saw that one making money.

FBF won't be happy. Maybe Turner as Bond will cheer him up. Let's hope so.

that could cheer us all up and that's why I'll disbelieve it until it's a done deal with press announcement, even Brosnan got screwed over when he was announced and that to show renewed.bjmdds wrote:FBF won't be happy. Maybe Turner as Bond will cheer him up. Let's hope so.

--Pre-production on Bond 25 only recent began because of Eon's non-Bond projects.

You still don't get it. With Babs the B1tch still around, I won't be happy. I'm putting my money on Pierce's new TV Series The Son instead.bjmdds wrote:FBF won't be happy. Maybe Turner as Bond will cheer him up. Let's hope so.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I doubt it, because for him, it's all about punishing Barbara for firing Pierce a million years ago. I doubt Barbara will go when MGW does, but it does mean that she won't have sole charge of the Bond franchise. In theory, Babbzy and MGW are equal partners, but in reality, I think MGW is little more than a rubber stamp for Babbzy's decisions.bjmdds wrote:That will make FBF happy.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
This won't make fbf any happier , we went to id4 yesterday. Did wow me, didn't outright suck either.
Felt like it should have been two movies instead of one. It's more a rehash of the original to set up the sequel.
The real star was thors brother, um not Loki.
Um, seating for the first of two showing was almost half full, not bad for a Sunday.
Thing is I really believe the number of show times is killing movies. Next show was three hours away so another movie plays in between, there may not be a demand justifying the lack of showings in the other hand with so few showing how is id4 and BFG supposed to compete?
