After assuming the cape and cowl of the Dark Knight in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Ben Affleck will expand his role in the big screen DC universe. At the Warner Bros presentation at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, the studio confirmed work on a standalone Batman film, with Affleck possibly involved in a role behind-the-scenes. Onstage, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara confirmed that Affleck is working on a solo Batman film and also appeared to confirm that Affleck is directing; while he didn't explicitly state that Affleck is writing and directing the movie, Tsujihara listed the actor as one of the "filmmakers" working on the expanded DC universe, along with Aquaman director James Wan. Affleck is already onboard to play Batman in the upcoming Justice League duology, and rumors have been flying about his participation in a new solo Batman film. Affleck himself told EW that the standalone Batman is "in development." And last month, his agency told the Hollywood Reporter, "There's a script that he's written that is a really cool idea" for Batman. It's possible that the solo Batman movie could take place before Batman v Superman, before Bruce Wayne went gray-ish............are these people nuts?

4D film or 4-D film is a marketing term for an entertainment presentation system combining a 3D film with physical effects that occur in the theatre in synchronization with the film. Effects simulated in a 4D film may include rain, wind, strobe lights, and vibration. Seats in 4D venues may vibrate or move a few inches during the presentations. Other common chair effects include air jets, water sprays, and leg and back ticklers. Hall effects may include smoke, rain, lightning, air bubbles, and smell.........Broccoli should have done Cr-egg's films in 4-D so audiences could be forced to endure his stench in the theaters. Screencrush.com review excerpt of CA:Civil War: If the idea of watching even more superheroes punch each other after Batman vs. Superman feels like a chore, let me assure you this film could not be more dissimilar. While slightly overlong, this movie is bright, creative, insightful, affecting and, above all else, fun. 8/10 .........RT: TOMATOMETER

Does it give a prediction for worldwide total? I'm going to guess around $1.5 billion.

Headline And Global News:Despite a mammoth opening weekend of $166 million, "Batman v Superman" was brought down by a wave of negative reviews and fan backlash, which likely sank any chance that the film had of crossing the coveted $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office. The poor response also opened the door for Marvel to strike yet another blow against their main rivals. Early tracking reports are coming in and "Civil War" is projected to earn $220 million at the domestic box office during its opening weekend, giving Marvel yet another leg up on Warner Bros. But "Civil War's" expected success also comes down to something much simpler: reviews. "Batman v Superman" was shredded by countless critics (perhaps to an exaggerated degree), whereas "Civil War" is generally being praised across the board ahead of its May release. With overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics, is it any wonder why film fans may be more excited for "Civil War" than they were for the dreary "Batman v Superman?" If "Civil War's" early projected numbers hold up (and remember, these are just early projections, not facts), it would set some serious records. Not only would $220 million topple 2012's "The Avengers" ($207 million) for biggest MCU opening weekend, it would also put it on track to compete with "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" ($245 million) when all is said and done.

Inquisitir.com: While Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice wasn’t well received by critics, it has still managed to pull in over $800 million at the box office. But it’s now being reported that Warner Bros.’ comic-book rivals Marvel Studios will blow this amount out of the water when their upcoming blockbuster Captain America: Civil War is released at the start of next month. Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice grossed $166 million at the box office over its opening weekend, which broke the March records for such a haul. According to Heroic Hollywood, box office experts are now predicting that Captain America: Civil War will take in a domestic haul of $220 million when it’s finally released on May 6. There are several reasons why Marvel Studios should be hugely excited about this early prediction. It is a little more than three weeks until the release of the film, which means that these projections are only likely to increase as the days until its release dwindle. And that’s just the projected domestic haul, too. It’s extremely likely that Captain America: Civil War, which is actually being released in some international territories the week before its U.S. release, will make the exact same, probably more, internationally, too. This means that, with a little bit of luck, Captain America: Civil War will match the current highest-opening weekend haul, which belongs to the $529 million that Star Wars: The Force Awakens took in back in December 2015. Jurassic World is not too far behind with $524.9 million. The fact that Star Wars: The Force Awakens went on to gross $2.064 billion, and Jurassic World amassed $1.670 billion globally is a very good sign for Marvel Studios, which can probably start expecting Captain America: Civil War to reach a figure somewhere near the latter. If it does, that will put it in competition with 2012’s The Avengers to become the highest-grossing movie from the Marvel slate. The Avengers ultimately grossed $1.520 billion worldwide. What helped to crystallize these box office predictions was the recent sway of positive reviews from the first press screenings for Captain America: Civil War. After critics and journalists took to Twitter to almost unanimously praise the blockbuster, they have now been allowed to uploaded their full reviews and scores to their publications. And, so far, this has resulted in the film amassing a 94 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes. Empire Magazine was unanimous in its praise for the blockbuster, with the latter writing that the warring factions of Iron Man and Captain America mean that the film doesn’t need a villain. “Who needs a villain when you have Steve and Tony? Both protagonists. Both antagonists. And drawing other power-people to their cause in surprising ways,” their review declared. “The clashes go far beyond the set-up squabbles of [The Avengers]. Or even that other big 2016 superhero showdown.”---------(we said this months ago, long before the release of either film. I predict this CA film will be the GREATEST and BEST RECEIVED superhero film of ALL time in regards to the audience response :!: )       The review for the film continued, “Forget Batman v Superman. Here you get Ant-Man v Spider-Man, Hawkeye v Black Widow, Scarlet Witch v Vision, The Winter Soldier v Black Panther, and Captain America v Iron Man, all rolled into one. And that is what you call the ultimate Marvel superhero event.”

Forbes' review: Mark Hughes: 'Captain America: Civil War' Wins Crown For Best Pure Superhero Movie :!: I think it’s very possible Civil War will wind up with the largest opening weekend gross in Marvel Studios history. North of $200 million is likely, and I’d not be surprised by something in the $220 million neighborhood. I expect the final worldwide cume will almost certainly approach Avengers levels or exceed them, but at the very least we should expect a minimum performance (if in theory it got only average reviews and okay but not stellar audience reactions) of maybe $800-900 million and more likely — get ready, here comes that number again — $1 billion. But here’s the big call, are you ready? I’m going out on a limb to say Civil War might possibly become the first Marvel movie to do as much as $2 billion.
