That's one thing. Surpassing Titanic's overall worldwide gross of $2,186,772,302 is another factor.

it may have the legs to go for it, IMO it's going to stop just shy. I think it's open in all markets now.

That's more like Cruise's reaction to Cr-egg's followers thinking his Bond is better than MI films.

Excellent. That had me laughing out loud - especially the first few scenes. Thanks!

This one was great too, but I don't get his complaint about the Bond theme being played every 5 seconds, like the first 3 films it was non existent.

Another corker!
I was stuck by two aspect one was how dreadful Daniel looks in so many scenes I'm surprised it has not be mentioned more. Sweeney thought he looked better than previous movies, I don't see how that is possible. The other aspect was the painful colour pallet chosen, it makes it painfully clear they are trying to copy the sense of style form 40 years ago and have no clue.

Curious how many reviews are put off Bond the sexual predator in Skyfall and Spectre. Again Barbara trys to get to artsy without have a single ounce of artistry in her veins.

I was waiting for this. Poor Craig has to pretend to be James Bond for millions dollars! Exactly!
But..Casino Royale a franchise high? And please do not compare Roger Moore and Craig ever again. These two are earth and sky in every way possible. I would also throw a line about how this Blofeld thing just shows how they have no respect for real Bond movies AND Fleming's fiction since they swear by it so often ever since the reboot. :cuss:

Yeah, I was a little annoyed by that bit as well. I don't get why some people bother to make such an apples and oranges comparison. The same thing goes for the comparison of Connery and Craig.

The line about "action sequences that feel like you're playing GoldenEye 64 on Agent difficulty" during a clip of Bond easily escaping Blofeld's lair gave me a laugh. And people always say Craig's Bond struggles more than the others.

Yeah,it's all tough and gritty and realistic with Craig! As we heard so many times...
And comparing Craig and Connery...HA! Nice try!
They obviously want to distance themselves from everything James Bond stands for so I don't why comparing Craig to someone who embodied Bond first and generally considered-best.
I guess it's just another PR stunt comparing Craig to an icon like Connery. Just another way to brand Craig movies as a "must-see".

all the crap complained about that CR and Craig supposedly fixed they never actually got rid of.
What makes Craig's movies even more ridiculous is it's taken so d**n seriously. Exactly like the goldeneye on agent difficulty (btw the lowest difficulty) . None of that action is believable but we got Craig scowling acting like this is believable because bond finally got serious for the first time in his life. It's worse than any sin dalton, Brosnan or Moore is accused of for their movies.

In some of the more classic examples of the final raid on the villain's lair, not only was there more excitement, but Bond also had some sort of assistance. You never saw Connery or Moore's Bond casually blasting all the baddies like a shooter game set on the easiest difficulty. The grand finals in the Bond films now are not what they used to be.

You're right about how the serious tone makes things worse. The fact that the filmmakers try to present these films like they were the Gone With The Wind or Citizen Kane of the Bond series, just makes their half-a$$ed efforts all the more ridiculous.

Absolutely right! EON stripped away all that was great about Bond leaving only the biggest faults then poured a thick layer of boring pretention over the top of it, exposing all the cracks and fissures like a giant magnifying glass!

It's ridiculous how Babz rants about feminism and wanting to distance the franchise from it's "chauvinistic" past then turns her version of Bond into a creepy predator, if they want to keep on this course and truly want to cast a black actor as Bond, may I suggest Bill Cosby.

Ah,yes,Barbara's bloody feminism! Another laughable thing is that she constantly rants about how women in Craig movies are so much stronger as characters like all the other Bond girls were dumb models! But the crack is-aside Vesper(talking about the one in the book, the less I say about the movie!Vesper the better) which female from other Craig movies is notable?
Quantum of Solace girls are in the who-cares basket just like that movie. Severine who? Oh,yeah I guess now we have black Moneypenny to show us what strong female character is all about! Read actual Fleming novels Barbara!
Monica Bellucci is stuffed in a thankless cameo that consinsts from the most akward hook up I have ever seen. I guess strong woman would sleep with another man(the one who looks lile Craig no less!) right after her husband's funeral!
And of course much was made of Seydoux's character since it was said she is a "strong, independent" woman(how many times have we heard those words?) but simply ends up as a tag-along Bond girl.
Like I said-all barking and no biting.
