I like him especially in quentin tarantino films. In bond he didn't have much to work with. How do you work with the reduced idea that the baddest villain in bond history did it all because he was jealous of his brudder.
mads mikkelsen had a better role but even he could really build up on it.
Btw the Hannibal actors still get a lot of credit with me for being cool with their fans. They were fired, knew they were fired and were still good to their fans. Craig and other "big" actors can't stand being recognised and are rude for no reason.

^That. And Mads Mikkelsen makes even the most sh!t movie(The Clash Of The Titans remake and The Three Musketeers, anyone?) fun.
Was wondering when someone was going to bring up the Clash Of Clans ads. WT and indeed F.

If Craig does stay on, then i presume we will get the same type of films, as we have seen lately. Well if they do continue in that vein, then at least get someone to write some top notch stories. No more Mendes either, his arty style direction, may appeal to some, but the US audience gave it a thumbs down.
Lets have some fun injected back into the franchise. I know 'Arthur Brain' would appreciate that!
I think we would all appreciate that EA!
The problem is SP was supposed to be an injection of "fun" back in to the franchise.

Yes Kater WTF indeed, when I saw him pop up from behind that couch I fully expected him to intone "Cuckoo!"

For me this is like a conclusion to Craig-Bond's story. If he comes back then it's going to be the whole question why did he come back, where is Swann? Whatever, just leave it at this. And most importantly,we don't have to endure Blofeld/brother story, the most vomiting thing every written in history.

Why is she in a car with Kryten? Is it a clip from Robert Llewellyn's Carpool series where he has dressed up as his famous robot?
News story say force awakens is not the biggest movie ever. Basically ticket inflation. It true but my problem is bo mojo underestimates ticket price. Opening weekend Star Wars I'm paying $9 for cheap tickets , iMax, 3D , full price showings , no way did do the numbers bo mojo estimates. You're not going find a bargain tickets or passes . The majority of tickets sold are going to be the higher price.
Just my problem with Hollywood pr and not reporting true numbers of tickets sold
bjmdds wrote:No theatre counts listed for ECH-TRE tomorrow for this weekend. It might be over after just passing $198 million in the USA. It would be very hard to drag out another $2 million to reach the $200 million plateau EON wants. It was off 33% in the USA from the prior film.
There was none listed for the last two weeks either. They only showed up once the Friday estimates were published.

They actually just added 48 theatres to the showings this weekend for some reason. They only did $60,288 yesterday here. EON is desperately trying to crack the $200 million mark here but another $2 million will be hard to achieve. It's down 33% in the USA from the previous film and Spotlight and Brooklyn are outgrossing it weeks 8 and 9 of simultaneous releases.

I've noticed this to of become a common trend with recent Bond films, that in the N.American market the film gets a theater count boost for a week or two, as it comes close to the end of its run. If i were Sony, i would want $200 mil, coz i it looks so much better in the record and accounting books than if the figure was $199 mil, though in financial terms it doesn't mean much now. What does matter is losing over $100 mil from the previous film, and the millions of admissions of the N.American cinema goers.

So I just watched the first episode of mini-series called "The Game". The main character is an MI5 officer, tall, dark, handsome, elegant, has piercing blue eyes.
If you haven't watched it already you might like it.

I saw this program when it came out, its kind of a Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy sort of a plot, it's really good!

I noticed a curious thing in the public perception of Bond, listing to satellite radio they were talking about Christoph Waltz being singed up for two more Bond movies great they said but who's going to be Bond? I think people are ready for a new actor long before they were tired of Brosnan. Also heard the new song changed channel before releasing what it was supposed to be for. Just terrible.
Connery was thought to do no wrong, obviously these people missed You only Live Twice, Diamonds are Forever, Never Say Never Again. But he is James Bond to the majority of bond fans, the safe choice when put on the spot. If Connery had been given the participation Craig has gotten he might have stayed longer. Most of the actors didn't get much input on the formula leaving them unfulfilled by the role.
Lazenby earned reputation of failed Bond because he quit. Although one of the early special dvd features had a executive saying the studio did not want him back essentially he was fired.
Moore ran out the clock and then some, when I was in elementary school Moore was the Bond we thought of this was about the time of Dalton's first movie. He had a hell of a impact on a lot of us who grew up with his Bond. Often a guilty pleasure watching his movies.
Dalton had the image of a failed Bond and it was thought to be inevitable he would be replaced. I know many like him but aside form The living daylights I personally didn't care for his Bond.
Brosnan I felt had one more movie in him that was not a celebration of 40 years, his movies for me went Goldeneye great, Tomorrow never dies ok, The World is not Enough Good, Die Another Day ok, I though his next one was sure to be better and worth adding to the collection.
Craig well I was tired of him after Casino Royal was a depressing adventure of a unknown spy certainly not James Bond, 006 maybe. Our older children wanted to see Spectre, a local movie marquee had the movie as PG it certainly was not!, so his mother and I forbid it. But I like a new Bond to revitalize Bond like the Force Awaken made Star Wars fun again, we'd really like to take our kids to at least one Bond movie we can enjoy as a family outing.
Chief of Staff, 007's gone round the bend. Says someone's been trying to feed him a poisoned banana. Fellow's lost his nerve. Been in the hospital too long. Better call him home.
SUPERMARKET CHICKENS ARE PUMPED WITH POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS DRUGS: In 2012, Johns Hopkins University studied the feathers of imported chickens to see what was in their system before slaughter. Painkillers, antidepressants, banned antibiotics, and caffeine were found in the samples. Some chickens were even fed Prozac; stress can slow their growth. And as for the caffeine? Chickens grow faster when they’re awake.............70 percent of all the raw meat sold in supermarkets is treated with a suspiring chemical: carbon monoxide. The gas interacts with the myoglobin in the meat, locking in the bright red color.

Catching up on re-rans of Covert Affairs, starring rookie CIA agent Annie Walker (who also co-starred in Rocky & Bullwinkle as very rookie FBI agent); tonight's episode had a MI-6 agent, trying to better himself in the org... her friend at the CIA says, "Welcome to Her Majesty's Secret Service!" Some say the series dovetails in the latter years, but so far it's mildly entertaining, as the critics say. I like that they do a lot of location filming around the world. Since I'm not paying to watch Spattre, I can't comment except to repeat what even some Cragg fans are pointing out: his massive botox and expressions of cement (or is that expression?). Enjoyed Force Awaken's final scene and also Daisy Ridley's real-life illuminati hip tattoo (it could be fake in more ways than one, of course). Oh, has anyone commented on Pierce's "No Escape"? Now, that's pretty entertaining and was much impressed with the acting of the oldest daughter. Pierce gives a buzzing performance. Several people have said that they still believe he could still play 007. I was impressed with his flat stomach in the karaoke scene (he may have been holding it in, but still his silhouette out-Bonds Craggs' any day of any week.

Just a few weeks a chef friend commented to me that chickens in US seem 'bloody' even though they are cooked, whereas chickens in Asia are cooked at the same time/same temp and they aren't 'bloody.' I am assuming it's something the chickens are fed. Jim Marrs' book 'Population Control' details the ways governments enthusiastically introduce toxins to just about everything ... for example fluoride in water supply, or aspartame (neurotoxin) in foods.
RIP David Bowie. It will be a very very long time before some as interesting and imaginative comes aground again.
