Also another interesting tweet from that pic of Craig: he does not even like being James Bond why would I want to meet him at a bond event. That's just messed up honestly.

Oh, so now Craig is Mr. Nice Guy and happy to play the Bond role. This is completely laughable. Yeah, these are puff pieces all right. They both even downplay the reality of the leaked script and the troubled production, and of course Craig's public meltdown. The whole angle is that Craig has been and continues to be wonderful in the role, and that he cares about the series, and Spectre is another masterpiece. Meanwhile, the useful idiots are coming out of the woodwork.

It's a joke and truly pathetic, had any other actor done this they would be out but yeah suddenly what happened a few days ago was all a lie, society truly died a decade ago, Clarkson got fired from the bbc for what he did but Craig is fine... I give up, if I was bond today (nice dream) and I acted like this then yeah I would be out the door no questions asked, there's a time and place for what you should say and that's not the place, also it would be a massive priviledge to play the role and make a lot of people happy.

independent.co.uk/Geoffrey MaCnab: Sunday 11 October 2015: 'One of the main reasons that Bond has lasted for more than 50 years is precisely that he doesn’t have a backstory. Bond himself always looked forward, not back. That is why Spectre seems such a tantalising and worrying prospect. Its very title invokes memories of the shadowy organisation Bond fought against in earlier films. In the trailer, we see his name scrawled on a memorial listing of those who died serving their country. Christoph Waltz’s villain, the “author of all your pains”, seems desperate to dig his claws into Bond’s past and torment him that way. That raises the possibility of a more neurotic, conscience-stricken and traumatised Bond than we have ever seen before – a prospect most decidely not to be wished.'

The exact same "interview" saying the exact same things we've heard over the last decade. Including that picture of him in his speedos from CR, why? Obviously this was written weeks or months ago and the author probably didn't even talk to Craig, why would you? Just pick and choose quotes from previous articles and you have this ready made puff piece, and as others have said it's very telling that there is no mention of the "wrist slashing controversy".

it's what I would expect except now it's clear who the paid help is, usually it's a question of are they serious or not. We used to go back and look at the old stories and reviews to see who was consistently pro EON/Bond .

No its just look for the people who are talking like they are from the Hillary Clinton campaign

I think the bs past torment is a bad idea. The stories were almost never about bond he would react to the situation but it was not happening because of him. It in the same style as other hero movies but I don't think it is a good idea, it usually doesn't work out for the hero movies too well either especially if they make everything about the Hero's past.

I thought it was lame trying to tie batman and the jokers "creation" to each other , sp looks like it will go well beyond this .

You reckon? We're into Austin Powers territory with this one, and not in a good way.

I do hope that there is a point where they would think 'No, this is a stupid idea', but they clearly haven't reached it yet.

All I can say is, if you want to know what happens in the film, read the unofficial novelisation. It may be parody, but I have a strange premonition that it will turn out to be remarkably close to the truth ;)

I won't be seeing Skyfall 2 until it's released on DVD, so I might read the novelisation when it's finished.

It's depressing to think that it's been 13 since we had a Bond film that wasn't afraid to just be a Bond film.

FBF, NO Escape worldwide's total now: Domestic: $27,021,745 69.2%
+ Foreign: $12,048,988 30.8%
= Worldwide: $39,070,733 It did better than NM................telegraph.co.uk: For the 24th official Bond film, Craig stepped in as an additional screenwriter, an inside source told the Daily Mail. His role in the film, share of the profits and sponsorship deals have, according to The Sun, earned him £39 million, making Craig the highest paid Bond actor. This level of involvement has been essential in bringing out what Craig calls the “great story” at the core of SPECTRE.

His creative range? With that one expression he has?
And that's what we got,10 years with a guy who not only is he completely wrong for Bond but also thinks he is beneath such an iconic character. I don't know what he thinks, that this somehow damaged his career... What career?
Someone should tell him he's the luckiest guy that ever lived on a planet.
