it may be another weak year for films. Just left avengers,, not as good as the first not bad either. Not sure what it was missing . Talking about it we think it was a set up for the next sequel.
The sports big weekend last week and Mother's Day this weekend probably dented the Bo.
Judging from the crowd at the early showing um it's got to be $60-80 million range for this weekend.
Antman trailer look good. The Sony movie about 80s video games staring Adam sandler looks so bad I hope this movie is the one that kills Sony off for good. Probably won't

I did not like it at all. I loved the first Avengers film. The villain was quite far fetched and the plot got confusing. The Scarlet Witch was not needed at all and her mind games was a ridiculous waste of time. The Winter Soldier is the best of the series to me by far.
the needed to add her and the vision to the avengers line up.
They also needed to remove Hawkeye and her brother as obstacles to a future relationship. Her brother was better in the last xmen movie imo.
I assume the next villain is finally Thanos? I thought Captain America and Falcon were going after Bucky too? Where did this Ultron mission fit into that schematic? Joss Whedon needs a rest it seems.

"Jelaous husbands!Outraged chefs! Humiliated tailors! The list is endless!" This defines Moore's Bond perfectly IMO.
TMWTGG is SOLID bond movie...maybe little boring.(?)
TMWTGG feels for me like a missed opportunity. Greatest assassin in the world wants to kill James Bond because he thinks they are"great titans"...that's brilliant...if they focused on that only-it could have been a truly great movie but they've thrown some kind of solar plot and movie became a bit of a mess. Christopher Lee was terrific though

the next movies look bigger than the first avengers , the new movies save time since the dont need to do a back story for the vision and scarlet witch .
Age of Ultron needs a extended lotr style release so much feels unexplained . It also followed too closely many of the winter Soldiers ideas and story themes
Favorite Bond Movie: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible, Kingsman: The Secret Service and The November Man or any upcoming actioners starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good since it will help him expand his reputation as an actor especially in the action realm)

I don't believe Brosnans career has hit rock bottom, he's trying his best and look at Neeson he was floating inbetween that for a while then taken came along, Brosnan will get his version of taken someday and I can guarantee that.

He is making movies and taking roles that he is interested in,I got the impressions that box iffice success is really not the first thing on his mind...but his career isn't near rock-bottom in any way.My definition of rock-bottom is something else.speaking about a movie that would be a blockbuster-it doesn't have to be an action movie like taken. It coud be a pure thriller-that would be great.

But unlike Neeson, Pierce doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

That's maybe true but Neeson is first and foremost known to star in action thrillers like Taken or Unknown(although that one doesn't have that much action) while Pierce does diversity. That's good I think.Let's see how Survivor will go and No Escape.Does he have some other project in preparation?

that's almost a surprise the ads don't look very good.
Avengers 2 did exactly as predicted .
It maybe be another year where there is too many good big movies coming out.
But unlike the first avengers where each of the individual movies were building to it, Ultron is all about setting up the next 4 or 5 films in the series maybe more
Avengers 2 when I Saw it a few weeks ago was ok but it really missed a lot and wasn't a patch on the original which was a crying shame and now that Whedon's gone I really hope the writers from the winter soldier do the rest more justice.
In regards to favourite marvel film toss up between ironman 2, guardians of the galaxy and avengers to Me.

As far as post-Bond works are concerned Pierce had a really great comedy and a really great drama with The Matador and The Ghost Writer, respectively. What's left is the action realm. Does he need it? No. But does he deserve it? Yes. November Man could have been that really great action film, but then again it got bombarded with bad reviews. Let's hope Survivor and No Escape do not fell into the bad reviews zone.

November Man for me feels like a bit of a missed opportunity. The story was good but it wasn't executed in the best way. The movie never held my attention 100% which is the way it should have been. It's not a bad movie in any sence but it's not great either. And there's a problem with a poor PR as well. I think "After the Sunset" is a great movie if we are talking about his post-Bond career, although tehnically he was still Bond then. In fact while he was filming that movie he got a call from an agent and found out how he is no longer needed when Babs fell head over heals for Craig.
Speaking of Survivor and No Escape-the former seems like a type of movie that could attract general audience and the latter seems like a type of movie that gets good reviews because of the themes that are explored...
