And then so on and so on.
By the end of Craig's fifth successful Bond film, he's finished with Bond and moves on. BJ will then write a summary of his tenure consisting of "the truth is, the public never cared for Craig, they just wanted to see a Bond film. He was never popular. If you had Hugh Jackman in the role from 2006-2014, he would have been more popular than Craig and the movies would have made more money."
"The public never liked Craig, don't use IMDb as an example! Internet doesn't count"
"Critics only liked Craig because everyone hated him, and they always praise what isn't popular!"

Believe it or not, if the public really embraces QOSTBM then this is their Bond, not mine, and good luck to them. I would then have to be patient until he vacates the role, but I would not recognize his films as any I would care to re-watch over and over. To think Craig is going to last 5 films though is the mindset of the pro-Craig bunch, and wishful thinking on their part. IF the public does not embrace this upcoming film, count on a very inspirational message.

You don't think Sean Bean was a good choice? I thought he would be better than Brosnan, hell, I think he would have been better than Craig!Kristatos wrote:More like until Babs vacates her role. Imagine if Mr. Bean had been cast as Bond. He always plays wicked, duplicitous characters, so I'd be wondering how long into the film it would be before it was revealed that Bond was actually a double agent for SPECTRE.bjmdds wrote:The failure with the storyline of MI:I was making Mr. Phelps the villain, which was contrary to the mindset of those would loved to watch the television series. I heartily agree with you on that one Kristatos. Bean was never a Bond contender in my eyes. I think he's a good actor, but not a OO7. Certainly not for GE.Kristatos wrote:Imagine if Mr. Bean had been cast as Bond. Wow, Nash agreeing with me, definitely a Kodak moment! As far as I'm concerned, there's only one Sean who had what it takes to be Bond!Captain Nash wrote:I heartily agree with you on that one Kristatos. Bean was never a Bond contender in my eyes. I also think Sean Bean could of been a good Bond...........in fact he was very good as 006 in GE........and this was a major plus point for the film.stockslivevan wrote:You don't think Sean Bean was a good choice? But as Sean Bean has said since, playing that part in GE probably ruined any chance he had of getting the Bond role.
As for the other Bean........err Mr Bean..............i think this chap would also of been fantastic................can you imagine the car chase scenes in his Mini!!

In regards MI:1 'BJ' i agree that making Mr Phelps the villian was an awfulbjmdds wrote:The failure with the storyline of MI:I was making Mr. Phelps the villain, which was contrary to the mindset of those would loved to watch the television series. decision.
The film was pretty good............but the concept was somewhat adrift from what most people loved in the TV series.

That's what works. Bond should be a good guy but he should have some menace like Connery. It's not like Bond was ever that white knight with a heart of gold.Kristatos wrote:Imagine if Mr. Bean had been cast as Bond. Despite that menace, I would have never believed Bean's Bond would have been a double agent because Bond becoming a traitor is as likely as pigs flying out of Wayne Campbell's butt.

Though I'll admit to being a p.i.t.a, we all have a common interest.
As far as I'm concerned all the actors to play James Bond have brought something to the role. I can find good and bad in all the performances.
Though with Connery and Moore it's hard too find anything bad.
The C and M Bonds were for a better word, brilliant!
Now who else wants to be in the piccie with me and Kris.

The television show, The Insider, was on the set of QOSTBM last night in the USA markets. Craig and his two ladies were interviewed a little bit with sound bites. It was from the set where he swings on the vines and gets dirty. Still looks the same to me no matter how many times I see him. They want people to text message them who should sing the title song and reveal the results next episode.
I assume the results are non-binding on EON? Pity, otherwise we could mess with them by texting in Hannah Montana or something stupid like that.bjmdds wrote:They want people to text message them who should sing the title song and reveal the results next episode.

Paul Haggis, who just did his first 'original' Bond co-penned script, has commented on the title of the script and in essence said he 'has no idea what the title means'.
In addition, when asked about that choice of title his response was short, and to the point:NO COMMENT. This is some way for the writer to relate to the title of his own script. TBM will probably define the script better than QOS.
