MP, your opinion of Cavill as Bond material? The Sting is on Turner Classic Movies tomorrow night and it is one of my all time favorite films

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Screenrant:"Marvel Studios had discussions with Sony about using the Peter Parker character in Captain America: Civil War, with the intention of starting the series anew free of any connections with the previous films. The final nail in the coffin for Garfield’s version of the superhero seemed to be hammered in with this October 2014 email from Sony Co-Chairman Amy Pascall, where she is discussing the potential Disney/Marvel deal with Amazing Spider-Man series producer Matthew Tolmach:“I love introducing [Peter Parker] in [Captain America] but I know it comes with so many things since we won’t give them what they want what will we give them?” It would appear that Garfield is not part of the franchise’s future, no matter who releases the next movie.".........(I predicted Garfield's demise in this role as soon as he was chosen. I hated him in the role and I despise him as an actor. He is as bad a Spiderman and an actor to me as Cr-egg is as Bond and Pascal rules over both
)

This explains why every tear jerking melodrama EON has put out over the last decade has been labeled "Best Bond Eva!!!!!"

Just as Garfield was NOT a superhero actor, neither is Rudd, who is a dud as an action star. Hollywood just does not get it. This box office will be similar to Ang Lee's horrid Hulk film. This human interest background to the character is as exciting as Routh's Superman being a daddy, and we all know where that film and Routh ended up.

Kick-Ass and Kingsman: The Secret Service director Matthew Vaughn says he believes audiences are tired of the Nolan style with their superhero films.
“People want fun and escapism at the moment,” Vaughn told SFX Magazine (via THR). “Look at the success of Guardians of the Galaxy. I think Nolan kick-started a very dark, bleak style of superhero escapism, and I think people have had enough of it.”

Summoning Ale to the forum.......check this out from The Man From Uncle:
Does he look like a character from FRWL? "Case" closed now for the 7th 007? Just compare the sloth (a slow-moving tropical American mammal that hangs upside down from the branches of trees using its long limbs and hooked claws)
Broccoli chose to this Bond specimen available.

For those wondering... In Canada and some other countries, James Bond is no longer a copyrighted material.

Despite hating man of shrill, Caville definitely looks more the part here for a secret agent but yeah you're right instead we get someone who doesn't resemble bond in anyway and now it feels like bond is merely a name anyone can put on their shirt (ie name tag) instead of actually be.bjmdds wrote:Summoning Ale to the forum.......check this out from The Man From Uncle:Does he look like a character from FRWL? Man Of Steel was pathetic Shaken. I agree with you. The Sweeney hated it too...............Rome’s cultural heritage officials have vetoed plans to film a high-speed car chase at the famous Quattro Fontane (Four Fountains) crossroads as part of the next James Bond film, local media reports.
Producers of Spectre reportedly hoped to shoot a sequence in which Daniel Craig, playing Bond for the fourth time, would race his Aston Martin around Rome in a night-time chase through the narrow streets near the Vatican and past the Fountains intersection in the city center.
Federica Galloni, a city official, told Il Messaggero newspaper: “We have not authorized the sequence at the Quattro Fontane because it is too fragile in terms of architecture.” She added that filmmakers have been asked to create the same sequence with special effects, rather than shooting there............(they ASSUMED Rome would allow it? Now they have to rethink this in January?)

Best line I've read in a while, Omega!
Happy New Year, everyone!
Has anyone here seen this? (Not about Bond)

Read it... it's yet another Sony leak. This will give you an idea how much they spend on ADVERTISING for movies. It's an exec email about how much they spent advertising one of Colin Farrell's movies in JAPAN. (So that ridiculously high figure is for Japan only... it's about $50 mln JUST for advertising and publicity in JAPAN)

Henry Cavill just HAS IT. He is Bond naturally, it's his attitude, the way he walks, all of it. He exudes Bond charisma, the end.bjmdds wrote:Summoning Ale to the forum.......check this out from The Man From Uncle:Does he look like a character from FRWL? "Case" closed now for the 7th 007? These idiots at Sony that are now finally where they belong (in the laughing stock section of Hollywood), better be replaced soon... so that someone with SENSE can tell EON to suck it and that he is exactly what's needed. I know MGM is DEFINITELY in agreement over Cavill as a choice.

LOL if one didn't have enough with the Sony leaks, here's proof that they are a group of blasted fools. They're truly incompetent and stupid. Why the hell would we allow for something like this to happen, endangering beautiful architecture? Are they insane? Do they think that Roman fountains were built by set decorators in Hollywood five minutes ago???bjmdds wrote:Man Of Steel was pathetic Shaken. I agree with you.
