Cr-egg is the luckiset actor to ever work in Hollywood. He has zero charisma, hideous looks, cannot speak well and curses all the time, yet because of a horny vegetable, he got the dream role of a lifetime and the minions bought into it and now the franchise is ruined...........but irrevocably? With the World Cup kicking off this weekend, the overseas box office was a bit slower than usual.
The big story is Godzilla's mammoth $36 million debut in China. That's the biggest three-day opening ever there for Warner Bros. Overall, Godzilla has now earned $248.3 million overseas, and still has Japan on the way in late July.

well he did a few movies and tv shows 1990 till he turned down GE.Kristatos wrote:Actually only one, since Brenda Starr was made in 1986 and sat on the shelf for 3 years (rarely a good sign). The year that Jim Carrey managed to make 4 films was considered a near-miracle at the time (OK, Carrey isn't everybody's cup of tea, but that's still a formidable workrate).Daltonite Toothpaste wrote:I can't really say anything about that, as Dalton did only two films between Bonds. Craig quitting his last two jobs has got to hurt his reputation . But he'll get a big payday as long as BB is his biggest fan.

Let EON and those Pro-Craig creatures (along with the brainwashed general public) have fun worshiping their so-called classic Bond. They do not need wake up, and they may well accept a James Bond who looks less Bond than DC is. As for us, we got November Man, Secret Service and Mission: Impossible though I severely doubt they will do SF's numbers.bjmdds wrote:Cr-egg is the luckiset actor to ever work in Hollywood. Does Daniel Craig not enjoy acting? Maybe his $30 million Bond payments every 3 years have made him lazy.

Brosnan insists this is a darker, gadget-free world away from 007.
"All he has are hard knuckles, a hard head and a lot of heart," he says. "He has a gun and a knife that he knows how to use effectively. That's it. It's kind of stripped down."
Brosnan says he did have his moments of doubt about his return just before shooting began on the Serbia set in 2013.
"I woke up in Belgrade one morning and I was 60," Brosnan says. "My temperature was 102 and it was four days before filming. I mildly freaked out that suddenly I had this film to make. It was like, 'God give me strength.' And you just go do it."

Hulk/Avengers 2 news: A source close to the studio has reportedly told Latino-Review that the current plans are to have The Avengers 2 end with the Hulk being launched into space by the cinematic version of the Illuminati and begin the classic Planet Hulk storyline from the comics. For those unaware, the arc begins with Hulk being banished from Earth for being too much of a destructive force. After a journey he crashes on to an alien planet, is enslaved, becomes a gladiator, and then eventually, a hero. What makes the situation interesting is that the story is actually very similar to plot of John Carter, which was a notable flop for Disney last year. What's more, the site says that Hulk will return to Earth in The Avengers 3 and the plot of the movie will follow the arc of World War Hulk, which has the character coming back to get revenge on those that sent him away to begin with. Both stories were originally written by Greg Pak.

The character, or at least the original version, is actually one of Marvel's oldest, coming out in a 1961 edition of Tales to Astonish. He was just a scientist who shrunk himself. He was brought back seven months later and turned into a super hero. Later became Giant Man, Goliath and Yellowjacket.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Olivia Wilde has revealed a particular time when they were on a break from filming and decided to go paddleboarding. Olivia has made fun of her Cowboys and Aliens co-star Daniel Craig, joking that the English actor was "useless" at the water sport, while she herself loved it.
Wilde explained to Oprah Winfrey's O magazine, "While shooting 'Cowboys & Aliens' in New Mexico, Jon Favreau taught Daniel Craig and me how to paddleboard on a lake. Daniel sank because he was too muscly, but my girl parts helped me balance! Jon gave me a board as a parting gift, and it's become a lovely pastime - like surfing with training wheels." (I guess Cr-egg and boats just don't work for him, dating back to his life preserver fiasco on the river Thames.)

These days, Sir Roger is rather taken by Daniel Craig’s modern interpretation of the spy.
He said: “I think Daniel Craig is completely with the current time. To me, he looks like a killer.
“Physically, he is tremendously powerful. I remember seeing Casino Royale, and after two minutes I think he had done more action than I did in seven whole films put together.
“I believe him. He gives a terrific performance.” (I think it's time Moore packs it in. He is one of the minions FBF has expressed concern over. )

Well Sir Roger has always been there. Partially I believe as a result of his experience being lambasted for his 007 he would walk over hot coals for any bloke in the role. Still I do not think he gets how it affects his fans, the one's who defend his take on the role. I don't think he understands Daniel and Barbara used his time as 007 to excuse the reboot.bjmdds wrote:These days, Sir Roger is rather taken by Daniel Craig’s modern interpretation of the spy.

Still from his point of view it was so long ago and actors are always looking forward, I do not think he sees a reason to preserve his legacy as 007, neither does Pierce (apparently). Althou I think they both would desperately appreciate some real critical acclaim for what they did.

Aside from Lazenby, I think all the former Bond actors have said something positive about Craig. Moore is just the type of person who will usually put himself down before anyone else. If he likes Craig, then that's his opinion. What frustrates me is how the people who constantly use him as a punching bag will quickly use him as a shield whenever he speaks highly of Craig. I remember there was an interview from 1977, where Moore said something along the lines of Bond films should have fun and excitement, and not leave people depressed. It's a shame that he no longer seems to have this way of thinking, but as you said, actors are always looking forward. I'm just thankful that he has a least expressed his dislike for Quantum Of Solace.Blowfeld wrote:Well Sir Roger has always been there. He also criticised the level of violence in AVTAK, saying that scenes of Zorin machine-gunning mine workers and laughing as he throws a guy into a fan were darker than he was comfortable with. These days, if it was Bond doing these things rather than the villain, everyone would be saying how "badass" he was (while still holding out for their holy grail of a scene where Bond slits a woman's throat while she sleeps). The Saint 007 wrote: I remember there was an interview from 1977, where Moore said something along the lines of Bond films should have fun and excitement, and not leave people depressed.
