The trailer for kingsman seems like bond type series.

Friday AM Update: Playing at 2,900 locations, X-Men: Days of Future Past opened to $8.1 million from late Thursday shows. That's lower than recent superhero movies Captain America: The Winter Soldier ($10.2 million) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 ($8.7 million) and Godzilla's ($9.3 million).........after 21 days in the USA, Spiderman 2 has only grossed $177 million vs, $230 million for the first Garfield one for it's first 21 days. :yay: ....Godzilla should do better business than both X-Men and Spidey when it's run ends in the USA.......whoever thought that? I will see the big "G" tomorrow night in 3-D.

If only we can get Brosnan to wake up in the beginning of the next bond movie realizing everything since 2002 was a hallucination brought on by drugs used in his torture.

BTW nobody I went with was familiar with the Singer story.

I think he got to slowly hover away as the worlds coolest deadbeat dad. Did you see the final teaser? What's the deal with Egypt?

Oh good god, please no. As for his torture, it looked like he had been force feed food.

obviously I'm not serious about Brosnan taking on Bond again I'd imagine he'd agree about it. What I was trying to make a joke about was how successfully the XMen franchise undid the damage done by X3 and Origins .

Truthfully I think Craig's movies will exist only as "Craig's Movies"
IMO The next Bond will either reboot or snap back to a more traditional Bond movie ignoring Craig's gritty Bourne adventures.

Yes I sat through the end credits for 30 mins reading all the French-Canadian crew names to watch the end teaser! I think the end bit was a preview of the next X-Men film, directed by BJMDDS, where Ben Affleck plays an Egyption super hero.

explains why they were chanting Argo, f' yourself! :)

I'm not sure who he was supposed to be. But I thought quicksilver got to be in the Captain America teaser with his sister, and in the latest XMen.

Godzilla plummeted 77 percent to $8.8 million. That's a horrible drop on par with notoriously front-loaded movies like Cloverfield (76 percent) and Ang Lee's Hulk (77 percent). For the four-day weekend, Godzilla could earn less than $40 million.

I don't want the series to be re-rebooted (it shouldn't have happened in 2006). Whomever the next Bond is, I want them to pick up following DAD, but set in year the film is made (thereby ignoring CR/QOS/SF/????), with Bond as the experienced agent (and occasionally referred to as Commander Bond) with his vices of smoking, women and drink.

Broccoli might be forced into retirement to get rid of Cr-egg. How many more decades can he last with her calling the shots? At this rate, if he does 2 more in 2015 and 2017, it will be 2020 before a new Bond is cast at the earlist.

I agree but reboots are so popular In Hollywood right now , Spider-Man reboot is not doing too well and if mib fails maybe they get the idea to leave reboots alone

Bond is ancient history. Godzilla is the big star now, and he's worthy for escapism than the spy who is the shadow of his former self.

Just saw Godzilla. It was OK, not great, because too much emphasis was on people and families and not enough emphasis on the monsters. It has a nice 73% approval rating. I want Mothra in the sequel, not so much character studies, and better editing too, for scenes went from one locale to another without enough explanation.

see that's what it looked like to me with breaking bad star almost in tears. One thing I did like from the trailers was the line about the atomic test were not test but attempts to kill the creature

glad to hear it! First thought I had when you said how crazy it's been were there are complications.

I want to get through some tv shows seasons I've missed this summer. Game of thrones 3 and 4 is on The dvr at my parents. Hannibal s1 is in my vudu account as is arrow s2. Feel a few binge watching weekend coming on. Cool thing is some of the well made show benefit from watching back to back

I am still not sure exactly how Godzilla was created after watching the film. They showed Cranston's son and daughter-in-law way too much for most people's liking.
