Not the Americans, FBF. Americans are people like you, me, BJ, kater and Omega. You're referring to 'Muricanz, an anarchy that has destroyed our reputation world-wide!

Broccoli is under a lot of pressure this time to top SK-Awful at the box office. She won't accept $800 million worldwide. FBF is correct in saying she will use her influence to prop up her crummy film and HOPE the MINIONS buy into it. Let's hope Pierce's NM makes the minions remember who saved Bond in 1995 and who is currently trying to reinvent it this deacde.

As if Bond "needed" to be saved in the 2000s. Yeah right. They accuse DAD for being bad?! It brought them almost $400 Million!!!

It did in 1995 Drakester and Pierce did exactly that with flying colors. Dalton damaged the brand badly. There are those who like him as Bond, but I lived it in 1987 and 1989, and the theatres were empty in the USA for Dalton's films. It took 6 years and Pierce to re-energize the franchise and then be fired by Broccoli in 2005 with a short phone call.....thanks for nothing "Boar"-bara :!:

I hope so as well, but due to Babs' EVIL sphere of influence, Pierce's status as the modern day Bond will diminish. What's more important is if NM will prove that Pierce is more than just Bond in the eyes of the general public and that he doesn't need Bond to have a movie will make billions (though this will depend on the director he works with) or at least MM's numbers. NM may not beat GE's worldwide numbers ($352 million) but beating is US numbers ($106 million) is possible. However, this will depend if it's Rated R or not since not many films (especially actioners) with this rating do not get pass $100 million in the US. One example is Nic Cage's 2008 actioner Bangkok Dangerous, which made $15 million in the US. Drakester and BJ, what's your take on NM's possible rating system and gross in the US (at the end of its run)? It's better if Pierce will be best remembered as NM even more than as Bond than to disappear in the "under radar" realm and being reduced to being typecast in those lighthearted roles (especially in rom-coms and chick flicks).

Hobbit 2 opened lower than it should. I think it'll beat hobbit 1, eventually but maybe this is the audience responding to the first films quality and the open admission the film makers were milking us for another movie / billion dollars

I hope NM gets a PG-13 rating and is NOT R-rated. To do a franchise series, we need a film to appear to the masses, not just adults. I think if publicized correctly with a huge tv buildup in interviewing Pierce on Leno, Kimmel, and Letterman, etc., it should do $150 million in the USA alone I would think.

Put Agigail Breslin in Bond 24: http://static.wonderwall.com/image/wond ... iginal.jpg This 17 year old would go good with the new Q child and round out a moronic cast pairing Cr-egg with voluptuous Upton and Q with Breslin. This way, more males will go to see these beauties and be "minionized" by Broccoli further.

Replace Kate Upton with Helen Flanagan. She has no brains and would do whatever the reckless CR-egg says, you know? LOL! And put Ellen Page in as MI6's top agent telling CR-egg what to do, claiming to be more experienced than the Neanderthal will ever be, you know? LOL!

Most of Pierce's recent films have been R-rated, but if he's aiming for a franchise, he may well go for a PG-13.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... _9-3Fj3ZdI Humans are now the minority after a devastating virus was unleashed decades earlier, and their fragile peace with the genetically evolved apes led by Caesar proves short-lived as both sides must battle it out to determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species. Who will win? Don't ask Charlton Heston...

Directed by Matt Reeves and also starring Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smith-Mcphee, Enrique Muriciano and Kirk Acevedo, "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" invades theaters July 11, 2014.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=p ... cdhyaP0T7g In Ancient Greece 1200 B.C., a queen succumbs to the lust of Zeus to bear a son promised to overthrow the tyrannical rule of the king and restore peace to a land in hardship. But this prince, Hercules, knows nothing of his real identity or his destiny. He desires only one thing: the love of Hebe, Princess of Crete, who has been promised to his own brother. When Hercules learns of his greater purpose, he must choose: to flee with his true love or to fulfill his destiny and become the true hero of his time. The story behind one of the greatest myths is revealed in this action-packed epic - a tale of love, sacrifice and the strength of the human spirit.

Sounds like the writing process behind Bond 24! :P

I'm guessing this is before he got old and fat and turned into Mark Addy.

Brosnan hardly saved the franchise. Yes, the series was brought back in 1995, but it was reduced to cheesy tie straightening and tiresome box ticking. Brosnan who once commented that Dr No was the first Bond book, was merely a placeholder until a better Bond came along, which hasn't happened yet.

To be fair, you could say the same about SF, that pulled in over $1 Billion.

Yes, but SkyFoul met positive reviews while DAD met negative reviews. Both are amazingly bad movies, and there was no need to reboot the franchise in 2006 when DAD's flavour "worked" with the majority of the audience, but no, Miss Babs is all for feminism, so she decided to create a politically correct feminine character and take all the credit for "re-inventing" the franchise (stupid quote from an idiotic Naomie Harris) that appeals politically correct people... It's not about the profits anymore, that thing is being left in the pages of the history, now it's what the producers want. And Babs got what she wanted. Her sex-toy making pole dances for her. Y-I-K-E-S!!

I don't think that Bond should have been rebooted, but that has nothing to do with how DAD turned out. All they had to do, was to make Bond#21 with a different actor, and bring the series back down to earth with a modern spy thriller tone.

They really didn't need to fire Brosnan, they should've given him his own "For Your Eyes Only" just like they did with Moore. I mean, his own a bit down-the-earth Bond movie, then kept in touch with the manly actioners in the later movies, much like how it was in GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies.
