On the set of "The Coup"... Pierce Brosnan in his next spy role... with his character is reported to be named 'Hammond'! I'm so gonna enjoy this! So will FBF!

Hmm so Brozza's gone for the grey whiskers as well now. Still at least he makes it look somewhat cool and laid back unlike Craig's ill zombie death warmed up look in Spyfail! It almost pokes fun at Craig's look actually. I'd be interested to see if he has that look through the whole film.

Only time tells, mate. I think he borrowed that look to take down all the minions who insult him by saying "he's a pretty boy" or something like that. It's a throwback to the 80s actioners, I'll reckon! Now, what more would any action fan want?! A Rambo-esque spy in a very violent war-themed actioner, pretty much like Braddock: Missing In Action trilogy. CR-egg will never be able to become manly, he's a wimp. SkyFoul proved it.

Naomie Harris has spoken about the future of the James Bond franchise and the plans for her character Moneypenny.

Harris worked with Daniel Craig and director Sam Mendes on the last Bond film, Skyfall, and told Total Film that the next film in the series - titled Bond 24 - would pick up the same plot threads.

"I feel like Skyfall is one part of a continuing story," she said. "It needs completing and it needs the same storyteller." Discussing working with Craig again, meanwhile, she added: "I really got on with Daniel. It would be strange if someone else took the role. He's a brilliant Bond for our times. And I'm so relieved [about Mendes returning]. He chose me and had a vision for my character.

"I'd feel really weird working for someone who hadn't chosen me and didn't have that vision. I just want him to see it through."

Bond producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have set a release date of October 23, 2015 for the next film in the series, with Skyfall co-writer John Logan on board again to pen the screenplay. Though the forthcoming film will be Craig's fourth appearance as 007, he'll still trail Roger Moore, who starred in seven Bond films between 1973 and 1985, and Sean Connery, who notched up six Bond appearances between 1962 and 1971. Pierce Brosnan has also played Bond four times, beginning in 1995 and ending in 2002.

It's funny I could have swore it was said the next 2 movies would be connected and shot together and not be a continuation of Skyfall, and yet here Naomie says it's continuing on. Does nobody know what's going on at EON. Are they just letting the words fall out of their mouth or is this a planned marketing campaign to confuse everyone so we don't know what to expect.

6 Bonds for DC? One of the reasons you can forget about bringing back the traditional tall and dark-haired James Bond. The franchise is too far disgrace for him to come back. Babs the B1tch should consider the likes of Marty Feldman (in terms of unattractiveness) and fighters/wrestlers who can act. From now on, they're her dogs to replace DC as Bond when he retires. NM, The Coup, Survivors and all upcoming actioners from Pierce are what we DCINBers should set our eyes on from this day forward.

Remember when SkyFoul wasn't announced yet and everyone said (namely EON and MGM) that "B23 is a Classic Bond"? Then, a couple of days before releasing the movie, CR-egg was interviewed and said "when I meant classic, I didn't mean going back to its roots, but something that is a classic of its own". Word Play, can't you see? Of course, SkyFoul became a classic. A Classic Trash! Now, they brought Mendes to direct another pointless "artsy" movie? Adding landscape views everywhere? Shoot the fight scenes in dark room? I'm not excited about B-24 by far!! And I doubt I'll be watching it until somebody releases a pirated version on ThePirateBay, so I may download it and watch it. I bet it'll be a rubbish nightmare. Specially when John Logan is writing it. Now, we have a source that says B-24 and B-25 will be "two parters" while Babs denies it. Showbiz for the modern mindless teenage "kidz". I'm out! LOL!!

Speculation about The Wire star slipping into the superspy's shoes has gathered pace since Harris suggested he would be the perfect James Bond during an interview last year.
Now Elba is dogged by the rumour whenever he sits down with a journalist to discuss his career, and Harris blames herself.
The Skyfall actress tells Esquire magazine, "That's probably because of my big mouth. A journalist once asked me, 'Who do you think is going to be the next Bond?' I said, 'I've just finished working with Idris so, if I had the chance, I would vote for him'.
"The next thing there were (stories) going: 'Naomie Harris says Idris Elba to be the next Bond'. And Idris has had to live with that ever since. Now, nearly every time he does an interview, he gets asked about it."

You can FORGET about rooting for the traditional classic tall and dark-haired Bond to return based on SF's nonsensical success and recognition and especially the way Pierce was treated. The James Bond franchise is a zombie now, and do you contain a zombie in hopes of finding a cure? NO!!!! Since the pandemic is out of control, the best strategy is to lure them to a trap. In the case of the World of James Bond, the best weapon is to spend in the likes of Marty Feldman (in terms of unattractiveness), fighters/wrestlers who can act, or any other direct opposites (as in lacking handsome profile looks). These guys are and shall be Babs The B1tch's dogs from now on to replace DC when he retires. Instead of worrying about the Bond franchise's well being. Worry about November Man, The Coup, Survivor, and any upcoming actioners starring Pierce. Why? Pierce has been terribly underrated LONG enough already, especially in the action realm, and he's been underrated ever since after GE as there hasn't any of his films that were able to best it in every department. Indeed it's all over, BJ. Probably when Michael G. Wilson passes away, Barbara Broccoli will make everything perverted. Making Bond either a bloody poofter! or cast a woman in the role as James "Jamie" Bond, with a male faggotty sidekick to be put. Then, put Naomie Harris as her lover and here we go, modern-day SO POLITICALLY CORRECT flick the new audience (minions as FBF says! and subhumans as I say!) gets! Yeah, hiring John Logan in the first place was the beginning of that nonsense!! It's getting worse with picking the writers. First it was Tom Mankeiweicz, awful writer (yeah, you forgetting he made Connery appear in a bad movie?) then comes Neal Pervert and Robert Waste, making the character emotionally unbalanced (TWINE, CR, QoS, SF), or just write a nonsense plot that makes everything laughable in it (Die Another Day, literally. I'll write an entire new post for it if you want my explanation for why DAD was so bad), then comes an artsy writer called Paul Haggis who's the solo equivalent of his predecessors (P&W), and finally, Babs dream writer, John Logan who made CR-egg almost sleep with Silva. Any Bond fan, hardcore real Bond fan, would've found that scene HUMILIATING!! I gave up my hopes on it. Bond is dead and there's no point in bringing him back. He's for politically correct people. There's always a room for a newer spy, MANLIER hero who has the balls to take down the entire North Korea solo!!!

Idris Elba is too good to be Bond. He can play some other spy in similar vein as the traditional hero we know. And in real-life, Naomie Harris is a very good girl, she's just mistreated. I would've taken her out of that rubbish franchise and gave her a role she deserves to play. A lovely and good-hearted femme fatale. But not Moneypenny for Christ's Sake!!

How old will Cr-egg be when the green vegetable finally lets him go from the Bond role, 60, 65, 70? Once MGW steps aside she will have free reign to do as she likes. The only hope is a buyout of Eon by MGM and/or Sony and a new CEO running the show, but I doubt Broccoli will consider stepping aside now. She feels her accomplishments are legendary and her narcissism will override any buy outs.

Whether Bond 24 tanks back to QOS numbers or not, the damage has already been done as SF made it to the history books so anybody or anything can be Bond now. You might as well pick this man as Bond:



Pierce said NM has franchise potential. He and his fellow cast and crew finished filming last summer. They did their part. Now it's our turn, and we're going to keep this talk and excitement going. If there's anything DCINB should endorse 100% on, it's NM along with every upcoming actioners starring Pierce.

FBF, do you watch pre-Cr-egg Bond films any longer or have you abandoned the franchise in it's entirety?

I still treasure and honor the first 20 Bonds.

I still watch ALL of the pre-2006 Bond films with gusto, except for TLD and LTK from Dalton, which are tolerable to me, but nothing special. Dalton's haircut when he meets Sanchez in his office looks weird.

Tim's Bond is still a classic Bond.
