Does Pierce still have the goods to pull this off? Based on Bill Granger's There Are No Spies, the seventh book in Granger's 13-part "November Man" series. November Man movie tells the story of an ex-CIA operative (Pierce Brosnan) who finds himself pitted against his former pupil (Luke Bracey) in a race to find a woman hiding from her past (Olga Kurylenko) who holds the key to an international conspiracy.
Of course, BJ. I've been following the news and articles regarding to this project ever since the beginning, and the books are very rare to find and very expensive, a friend of mine, the author of Double-O-Section blogspot, has the book, and I believe he has read it. He said his expectations are high, and of course Brosnan can pull it off. He was just saving some power and strength to make an action movie as soon as he retired from the role of Bond... Matador was a close call, but failed to impress the action movie audience, so I think this would be the right flick for the right time. It hasn't got international release date yet, but Brosnan claims it'll come out sometime in 2014.

I bet Pierce has more chemistry with Olga than Cr-egg did in QOS.

Olga enjoyed working with Pierce, I've read her tweets online. She didn't even get to sleep with CR-egg in QoS. LOL!

I did say he has better things for actioners than Thomas Crown 2 (which is and will never fit the bill), did I?

FBF is right. Thomas Crown 2 should never ever happen. Come on, how many heist movie sequels that were released 10 years after their predecessors gained success within the box-office? None! And to make it a romance-themed heist movie? Doesn't sound right. Brosnan already left that project years ago due to several script changes. He killed his time with those pointless romcoms after he left the role of Bond in 2005, it's time for him to return to actioners!

And why would anyone here and Alt007 bring up Thomas Crown 2 when it comes to Pierce returning to actioners (especially when it comes to putting GE to shame in every department)? After 2009, doing the Crown sequel would be a career suicide for him. This isn't Disney or a sequel from the big name director who directed the first movie (i.e., Wall Street). Plus, the Crown remake wasn't a huge blockbuster to begin with, let alone an actioner. For all these years, I've seen the big picture of Pierce's career, and Drake is the only one here who sees what I see.

Very accurate answer, FBF. Let's face it, if they are trying to base their script on the 60s movie Topkapi by just calling it The Topkapi Affair, and dragging Thomas Crown's character in it who had nothing to do at all with the original movie, then it's going to be a massive flop at the box office, thus will be ruining Pierce's career for once and for all. What kind of movies bring money to the studios nowadays? The answer is simple. ACTION MOVIES! That's what people like to go and see regardless of the storyline as long as it's action! Pierce has really wasted his time in making all those pointless romcoms and chick flicks... the only lair he belongs to is the action genre and everything related to it. Take a look at Stallone, his career was at its worst in the late 90s early 2000s, then he picked himself up and did Rambo VI, which was his ticket back in to the successful world of mass media. Then, he made Expendables which was praised by the fans of the action genre! See? That's the strategy! Pierce, I hope, will be doing more big-name actioners than just November Man and The Coup.

I think you meant Rocky Balboa here.

Back in the '80s, Sean did Indy 3. Since we're talking about action sequels here, Pierce should do EX4.

Indeed, BJ! Indeed! THAT'S exactly what I call Bond! And Connery was the perfect bloke to portray such a fascinating alpha male!

Even if Ben does a better job, I would still prefer Bale.

Well, if it was up to me, I'd bring Frank Miller to direct and write the script for the film, as he would've cast someone decent in the role. Okay, why not Ray Liotta? Yes, give him something really haunting, he'll pull it off. Another thing, Josh Brolin, another badass actor to take on the role of Miller's Batman, why not cast him? There are lots of people who would have been the perfect Batman. Why they just have cast Ben Affleck? I'll never know. He looks nothing like Bruce Wayne, let alone Batman.

Made cranberry relish, am also going to make artichoke hummus(our appetizer tomorrow). I am making brown sugar and butter butternut squash for dinner tomorrow(but that's easy enough that I don't necessarily need to do it ahead.Plus we're short on space in my parents' fridge right now otherwise I'd do that too. )
