With "Iron Man 3" ending with Tony Stark's imminent retirement from being a super hero, the Iron Man movies seemingly ended. We can also add the fact that negotiations between Robert Downey, Jr and Marvel regarding more Iron Man movies have ended. However, Downey is still signed on for two Avengers movies (including "Age of Ultron"). Is that a guarantee that he's not the one on the chopping block?

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who plays Pepper Potts, has already mentioned that she will not appear in the Avengers sequel and that there are no plans for any more Iron Man movies. That might be another clue.

Both "Iron Man 3" and "The Avengers" have crossed the $1 billion worldwide gross mark. Downey is rumored to have bankrolled $50million for The Avengers.

Meanwhile, Variety reports that rising actors Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd are the choices for Edgar Wright's "Ant-Man."

From Variety: "The two actors who have emerged as front-runners to land the title role in the superhero feature are Joseph Gordon Levitt and Paul Rudd. Insiders warn there's still a remote possibility another actor could emerge but as of now, Gordon-Levitt and Rudd are the main contenders for the film. http://images.enstarz.com/data/images/f ... .jpg?w=565

Paul Rudd will definitely be the choice. Levitt is still attached to the current DC universe and wouldn't be part of Marvel, yet.

bjmdds wrote:Broccoli and Wilson always get credited jointly. Wilson is 18 years her senior, Dana’s son from her first marriage. Is there a hierarchy between them? “No, we have to agree on everything. Which, in business, we do. We don’t agree on politics or religion, we have the typical brother-sister disagreements on other things. But I can’t remember when we disagreed on something to do with work. We were educated by my father, we both have his sensibility.”

“He used to say, make a decision, even if it’s wrong. Because the paralysis caused by indecision in film-making is time-consuming and costly. So, you know” — and suddenly her accent goes 100 per cent British — “get on with it. If you make a mistake, you can deal with it. In a long-running series, 50 years, you’re going to make mistakes. We certainly have. But make them your mistakes. And learn from them. You learn from your failures more than your successes.”
That comment about their father is as realistic as Martians have already invaded the entire galaxy. Yeah, right. Wilson has alzheimer's and Babs is pure mindless feminist.

Paul Rudd will definitely be the choice. Levitt is still attached to the current DC universe and wouldn't be part of Marvel, yet.
Gordon-Levitt called the report false hours later during an interview with France's Allocine Tuesday. "It's always rumors," the actor, in the country to promote his directorial debut, "Don Jon," told the outlet. "I talk about my future projects, so if you don't hear it from me, it's probably not true." The studio, however, seems to have enormous plans for the film. Marvel recently bumped up “Ant-Man’s” release date from Nov. 6, 2015 to July 31, 2015 to battle with the big boys in a crowded summer slate of movies.
The summer of 2015 is already packed with Marvel’s “The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” J.J. Abrams’ “Star Wars: Episode VII,” the “Man of Steel” sequel which will pit Henry Cavill’s Superman against Ben Affleck’s “Batman,” “Jurassic Park IV,” “Terminator 5,” Pixar’s “Finding Dory” and a sequel to 1996’s “Independence Day.”

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... 8BaVKUoUGo Affleck's reaction to the Batman role reaction. The more he opens his mouth, the more he should keep it closed. This film will underperform with him after 2 weeks in the theatres. It's a bad choice. Yutz defines this inane drone.

small comfort they are not pushing it as another Ryan Reynolds film. Can not think of one film I've liked him in and still Hollywood makes ten films a year staring him.

another you can not judge it before you pay to see it defense  I'm not against him as the Bat because he at least is in keeping with the spirit of the comics. However this interview is off putting just a lovefest with the host acting star struck and the star acting kind of stuck up about his " opportunities " almost already writing off the Bat casting because he now has so much more in front of him.

I don't believe the rest of the world is as fascinated with Ben as Hollywood appears to be.

Rudd or Reynolds? Reynolds is one of the worst actors out there. He humiliated the Green Lantern role.

Even Denzel Washington didn't enjoy making Safe House with him. Reynolds is nothing but a pathetic male model.

Campbell had a crummy script to work with and Reynolds was dreadful in the lead role. How could they ever think a massive flying dreadlocked villain could be tolerated by the public?

I can assume that's Hollywood logic of the modern day. They tend to go to remakes and always aim at the mindless public. I mean casting Ben Affleck as Batman? I'm not way too passion able about the subject as live action movies are not of my own care, but Affleck for Batman? Reynolds for Lantern? Even Professor X was miscast in First Class. Just tell me how the heck would James McAvoy resemble a younger version of Patrick Stewart. That really doesn't make sense. I think the early 2000s introduced this bunch of crap we're seein spread in the media, nowadays.

My exact thoughts. The trailer looked interesting, but the movie was well ballsed up. That's what I hate about Hollywood. They make a godawful movie with a whimpering protagonist they call it "realistic" or "character driven", which is utterly a balderdash. It's better for me to stick into old fashioned movies and 60s/70s/80s retros than watch an auteur crap.
