I think this is a better replacement.Glorious England wrote:what, you didn't know FBF, theyve already announced danielle cr-eggs replacement. they want something "more handsome" next time.
so, presenting to you now, i give you the new 007!
Returns didn't do that well considering the price difference it not over performing, still at $375 million cost WB/DC are not making money either.bjmdds wrote:As annoying and loud a film as it is, TMOS has already surpassed Superman Returns: Total Lifetime Grosses TMOS

Reeve will always be Superman, and Brando will always be Jor-El. This new film is a bad joke. And yes, it's on par with Batman & Robin.
I came home with a headache and had to take 2 tablets. The second half is so noisy, its like watching a computer game. Just tons of meaningless CGI. How many times can we see buildings explode, how many times can Superman and Zod thrown each other into skyscrapers. The second half of the movie really is a mess. And the character of Superman is dark, broody, and has lots of issues. If you hated what Craig has done with Bond, and what Nolan did with Batman, then you will really, REALLY hate this. The Sweeney is correct
First of all, the 3-D was a rip off because it was added AFTER the film was done. I could barely tell the difference taking the 3-D glasses off vs. wearing them at times. Secondly, the plot was dreadful and the editing with the flashbacks seemed out of place. I cannot believe nobody recognized Clark Kent as Superman when it was shown. The non stop over the top CGI was tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much to bare. Lois Lane knew way too much about Superman's origin. She lacked chemistry with Superman. Costner's role giving moronic advice to his son was way off reality and Costner's eventual fate was not realistic in what should have happened. Jor-el was poorly portrayed by a tired and boring Gladiator Crowe. Zod was a lunatic rockum sockum robot. What happened to Metropolis was tedious and ridiculous and at the end it was somehow magically restored quickly. I would rank it above Batman and Robin and Ang Lee's Hulk, but not by much. Cavill seemed amateurish acting as Superman, had minimal stage presence, but was passable and better than Routh. The theatre was 2/3 EMPTY at 6:30pm
It's heading south, and quickly. I would NEVER pay to see this twice. Superman II was a classic. This was a classic waste of an attempt to mimic 1980's film.

The film seemed more about a lunatic Zod than Superman at times. Who plans on seeing Depp and Hammer next weekend when the Lone Ranger rides again? The Sweeney wrote:For once we agree on something BJ......bjmdds wrote:Well I just witnessed TMOS with two other friends in IMAX 3-D. I might go to Lone Ranger because it was filmed around here.I don't think Depp should use his claim to be part Indian to play Tonto that amount of blood he claims most tribes wouldn't recognize him, besides Cherokee blood and some of the Eastern tribes are harder to prove because so many could pass a whites they were able to merge with the white society so they buried the family secret to keep from being persecuted, the Cherokee were the best at adapting sadly it didn't stop the whites/US from betraying them.bjmdds wrote: The film seemed more about a lunatic Zod than Superman at times.
