One of these things is not like the other.

One looks like James Bond, the other looks like a old man ;)
Hugh Jackman doesn't look that old.
But yeah, Daniel Craig IS James Bond alright. :P
As much as people think Craig is too short, I think that fat-looking other guy looks to tall to play Bond. Works both ways.....
Looks like this picture touched a sore spot. :)

Cal is Jackman's deal to turn the Robert Littell spy novel "The Amateur" in to a movie still on?

No, I really meant what I said. That guy looks fat.

Well you fanboys sure do like Hugh don't you.
But you'll never see him as Bond I'm afraid.
Oh well.

Ok, ok....

He doesn't look fat there. The other was a bad photo I guess....(yes, it does happen to other actors too, you know. Not just Craig.)

I still wouldn't refer to Hugh in that photo as looking fat.

Maybe if he didn't take the role of Wolverine 7 years ago I might have warmed up to Hugh Jackman as James Bond. But I rather keep up with what Cubby does: Never hire established movie stars. Anything below is fine like Moore and Brosnan being has-been TV stars by the time they took the role, unknowns like Connery and Lazenby, theatre actors like Dalton or character actors like Craig. But never movie stars, esspecially if they have such popular roles like Wolverine.

That is why I wouldn't go with Christian Bale. He would be a good Bond but you wouldn't believe him as Bond as easily you would with a more unknown actor. Once he took the role of Batman he pretty much ruined any chance to become a possible candidate for Bond.

That is why apparently, Hugh Jackman only did an audition for the role, just to make sure he was that good of an actor to make you forget he is Hugh Jackman, but obviously that never passed and the producers looked elsewhere like Cubby did to other established actors in the past.

Note: I must say, the two look very classy here.

I don't agree. Clive Owen also is rather popular and he was offered the role before Craig was. Hugh probably was to similar to Brosnan or Moore for the producers and it's the reason why he was refused. B.Broccoli wanted to make non-bond film about Bond and Jackman would be too 'bondish' in it :D

Anyway, I hope that after Craig (he would be in perfect age that time) he would play the role and bring Bond back to it's original formula :D

Do I detect something of a 'man crush' for Hugh Jackman, Moore?
But as he's the same age as Daniel Craig, then it would seem he'd be too old if and when DC passes the role on.

I support the idea of Bond who's about 48, so I don't think he would be too old :D

Swordfish convinced me that Jackman could have done James Bond.

It's not often I say this, but I agree with Stocks

As a resident of the UK I've been reasonably familiar with Daniel Craig for a decade now so I had a major problem accepting him as Bond (on top of numerous other reasons) that I would not have had with a Sam Worthington or Henry Cavill etc.
