They have more stories about Bond 24 not being until 2015 or 16! That would eb Craig;s 10th year yet I can almost imagine it being too far away to keep Craig interested (maybe he wants to get a role in star Trek, star Wars, something else) .
Everyone seems to like Nolan, ifthe story is true it the first time bond fans have been listened to and the first time since 2005 Craig has not hired the director maybe that means something
The story is only that Eon has approached Nolan, not that Nolan has committed.
Nolan is committed to directing a new science fiction movie, which has a November 2014 release date. IF Eon has indeed approached Nolan, that suggests Bond 24 would be 2015 at the earliest.
I'll probably see Star Trek..not for a while, though...my niece is graduating college and the whole family(including my aunt, who's coming from Germany!) is going to be in town so it's gonna be crazy busy. But a lot of fun!
Saturday AM Update: Star Trek Into Darkness added $22 million on Friday for a two-day total of $35.5 million. That Friday figure is a bit lower than 2009's Star Trek ($26.9 million), and it appears that four years of anticipation and help from 3D ticket prices isn't really giving Into Darkness much of a boost. Paramount is projecting $83.5 million for the four-day opening, though the comparables are all over the place and it could very easily wind up diverging significantly from that figure. One positive note: the movie did receive an "A" CinemaScore, which suggests overall word-of-mouth may be better than the mixed chatter online.
Favorite Bond Movie: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible, Kingsman: The Secret Service and The November Man or any upcoming actioners starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good since it will help him expand his reputation as an actor especially in the action realm)

Even if he brings Cavill with him? He's one of the few directors who would have the clout to do that. Of course, this is all wildly conjectural, but it's a far more plausible scenario than WWE wrestlers or Marty Feldman lookalikes as Bond.

Oh, sorry, I misread your post. I thought it said "If Nolan directs Bond". I need to start paying attention.

I just thought of something here. If Nolan directs Bond 24, he would have more control than any of the previous Bond directors. Plus, Bond 24 would be more of a Chris Nolan movie than a Bond movie. He's probably going to become too big of a name to attach to Bond.

If EON approached Nolan, rather than the other way around, then clearly it's not an issue for them. They must know that Nolan would not be content just to be a hired gun on the project.

Christopher Nolan Approached to Direct JAMES BOND 24:
I’ll admit that I’m not one to rush to the theater to check out the latest Bond film just because it’s the latest Bond film. I need something to entice me each and every time around whether it be positive critical reaction or Halle Berry in an orange bathing suit. That said, a Christopher Nolan-directed Bond film? Yeah, that would fall under my list of “Compelling Reasons to Pay for a Ticket to the New Bond Film”.

Ale can forget her idol being the next Bond. A Bond film starring DC has made history so it can happen to anybody who plays Bond in the future. Like Roger Moore said, any idiot can play Bond.
