I think Sir Rodger and a few others like Lois Maxwell were got to in the early days, 'oh look at how horrid those saucy boys are toward poor ugly Daniel'.
Honestly the press was nastier then became his cheering section one a few hundred million were being spread around to promote the wonder thespian with one look and angst in his soul.

We defend Roger Moore more in on hour than his publicist does in a week. Sir Roger the EON people were smiling at you while they stabbed Pierce in the back and trashed your legacy awhile they were at it. I know why these actors stick together but it not as if there were not merits to the complaints of fan to trashing 40 years of history to reboot Bourne, Batman and that Jack fellow from 24.

I constantly defend Roger Moore, and while I'm not intimidated to do so, there are many of his fans that are. The backlash towards the Moore fans is just crazy at times. Much of the hate comes from the younger forum dwellers, who think making fun of Roger Moore is the cool thing to do, most likely because they're insecure with themselves. They go on about how he's too pretty, too campy, not hardcore and macho enough, etc. I remember seeing a thread about whether Die Another Day was the worst or if Quantum Of Solace was. It didn't take long before that thread turned into a Roger Moore Bond film bashing spree. And dare someone mention that Craig looks a little old, and in will come the Moore bashing crowd with their A View To A Kill pictures, to defend Craig by showing how old "grampa Moore" looks in comparison. Sure, because comparing a 44 year-old Craig with a nearly 60 year-old Moore is a great way to prove a point.

I'm cool with the fact if some people are not into Moore's Bonds, everyone has their own tastes/opinions. But it's when people say all sorts of trash about Roger that isn't true, or make fun of him for the sake of looking cool on the Internet, that's when I draw the line. I poke fun at Craig, because I don't care for his portrayal of Bond or the direction. However, I have nothing against him as an actor. But as much as I dislike Craig as Bond, my dislike for the producers is far greater.

It's been 27 years since Moore's last Bond film, and people who constantly complain about him should just learn to get over it and move on, because it really doesn't matter anymore. Roger Moore was then, and Daniel Craig is now, and it's the things that are currently going on now in the series that concerns me as a Bond fan.

I would say the same thing. Yet those minions still defend that b1tch (and even Purvis & Wade) while bashing everything about Pierce.

Better watch out, Sweeney. You may get a visit from each of the former Bond actors.

Pierce Brosnan has sort of become the new Roger Moore in that sense, because bashing him has suddenly become the cool thing to do on the Internet. I know that there's always been people who didn't care for Brosnan as Bond, but since the Craig era, I've noticed a sudden surge in the amount of bashing Brosnan gets.

I'm sick of reading things that he's a campy Bond. I don't see him as such since he desired a dark and gritty Bond himself.

I know that b1tch is using those Pierce bashing as a way to shield herself that she is the cause of all the mess she did when Pierce himself was Bond. If she's going to get away with this, then it's time for us to say goodbye PERMANENTLY to traditional white tall and dark-haired Bond and instead go for ethnic actors as the British spy. The classic Bond doesn't fit with Babs' world, and every rebel should know and abide to this.

I did say the former Bond actors, but since you really want to get a visit from the Cr-eggster, I suppose we can include him too.

However, we'll save Brosnan's visit for last, because I know he's your favourite.

Man, Hobbit stays stuck at $6-7 million a day maybe they can keep it up long enough to score bit but I'm disappointed.Twilight is going to break 800 million but come one LORT was one of the biggest franchises. Went with my brothers to see it again and the theater were almost empty given how we watch movies it was probably a good thing.

How has a movie like Skyfall taken so much money worldwide? Are moviegoers so out of touch with reality, that they'll watch anything? It appears so.
Where to now for the new Bond series? With Bonds 24 and 25 going to Daniel Broccoli, it's going to be a while before any hope of salvaging something will happen.
It's obviously too late to boycott this film, but a rise from the ashes is called for with the next wannabe Bond picture.

There's no point of hoping for the classic Bond to return. Considering how arrogant and pretentious Babs The B1tch is since she horribly dismissed Pierce without giving him a classic Bond aside from GE and the Pro-Craig minions being SOOOO full of themselves that DC Bond films will continue to break records in all departments, you might as well bring in ethnic actors, actors with prosthetic limbs, freaks/weirdos (as in the likes of Marilyn Manson or Marty Feldman), robots, and pets to take over as the next James Bond once DC retires.
It's obviously too late to boycott this film, but a rise from the ashes is called for with the next wannabe Bond picture.
The only thing we can hope for is that Babs would fell victim to her own success without even knowing it, and this will probably take years. She has gotten away with what she did Pierce and with the success of the "Kenny G of James Bond" known as Daniel Craig. What we should we do is to let her cast Idris Elba or any other ethnic actor as Bond. It's her world now. She can do whatever she wants. The point is that you cannot bring back the classic Bond (the one we know and grew up with during James Bond's first 40 years) when the franchise is TOO corrupt.

Idrissa Akuna "Idris" Elba http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... s_Elba.jpg If Broccoli does not sell Eon, he might be her next Bond......and the world will just love it because she knows what's a perfect Bond for the next decade.

Babs might make Idris or any other black actor as the Michael Jackson of James Bond, which refers to someone of an ethnic background who has broken down racier barriers as James Bond. After Idris or any other black actor comes an Asian Bond. After that, a freak (in the likes of Marilyn Manson or Marty Feldman) takes over. After that, James Bond will have an prosthetic arm/legs or an eye-patch. Looks doesn't matter. Only acting that matters, not to mentioned a perfect British accent. I would like to see Marilyn Manson do his.
