Well.........this weekend 'SF's' BO total has now risen to an estimated $918 mil worldwide.

Personally, i did think film would reach between $920-925 this weekend.
The film is certainly on the descent now..........but should hit $950 mil by Xmas....then it would need a big BO in China in February to see if film can get to the magic $1 BILLION.

Anyway...surprise...'SF' went back to top of US boxoffice in 5th week...it goes to prove the importance of word of mouth.

Other facts:-

'SF'.....is Sony's highest ever grossing film beating even 'Spiderman 3'

UK total now for 'SF' some $154.5 mil.........can film reach $160 mil, which would be equivalent to the magic £100 mil mark, that so far, no film has reached in UK.

'Australia'.......'SF'. ............NOW AT $33.5 mil, currently biggest market.

Very impressive. I think its safe to say SF has been a success, and overall Craig's reign as Bond has been a success, both financially and critically (the slight blip being QoS).

Brozza laid the foundations with his movies, and Craig has streamrolled on even further to a Bondmania territory not seen since the early 1960's.
Craig is the most successful Bond at the BO since Connery.

True...its impressive........and since the reboot of the series in 1995, the series has regained momentum in popularity.....with the exception as you mentioned being QOS (why oh why did the producers lose their heads on that film??).

Anyway......i'am curious to see what the attendance figures for Skyfall have been, but those figures will be difficult to track down for several months yet!

In the UK....the attendance obviously would of been very high, maybe north of 12 million, but its difficult to judge due to hugely varying ticket prices nationwide.........though, high i very much doubt 'SF' will reach the dizzy heights of 'TB's' estimated 15.6 million!

Can't believe the third virus is back being #1 in the US. Now this is an insult to Harry Potter.

By May of next year, I hope Into Darkness will make Skyfall look like a piece of sh1t should be thrown in the Lake of Fire as far as the US market is concerned. I know Trekkies who dislike Abram's universe would hate to see the sequel break records, but better Abrams Trek gaining popularity than seeing DC's Bond brainwashing more younger fans (especially those who grew up during the Brosnan era) and breaking more records. If DC's Bond is not to stop spreading the global pandemic, then the war will continue until the direct opposites (ethnic actors, freaks/weirdos, robots, and pets) take over once DC retires. In the meantime.............DOWN WITH BOND. BRING ON STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fanboy speculation is that this might be Dr Carol Marcus from The Wrath of Khan - inventor of the Genesis device and mother to Kirk's son David. BJ's quote about it possibly being Dr Elizabeth Dehner sounds as likely too.

Sweeney and his fellow minions got DC's Bond on their side, and we rebels have the younger Kirk and his crew (of the Alternate Reality) on ours.

I don't think a Bond has gone away from number 1 and come back since DAD. It formed a gang with twilight and Lincoln and they stayed in the same pack for a month helps skyfall and twilight have the same number of theaters as when they opened or near enough, Lincoln is the little engine that could.

Bond mania in the Uk is probably fair to say, here and around the world its about a normal blockbuster. The game sold along side the movie bombed big time, its not like there is a demand for anything and everything Bond.

this week numbers
1 2 Skyfall Sony $11,000,000 -33.6% 3,401 -62 $3,234 $261,620,000 $200 5

2 3 Rise of the Guardians P/DW $10,540,000 -21.3% 3,639 -33 $2,896 $61,914,000 $145 3
3 1 The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Sum. $9,200,000 -47.2% 3,646 -362 $2,523 $268,735,000 $120 4
4 4 Lincoln BV $9,115,000 -31.9% 2,014 -4 $4,526 $97,335,000 $65 5
5 5 Life of Pi Fox $8,300,000

A company called Sideshow Collectible used to make James Bond figures. In fact, your avatar is one of them. They made figures of the previous Bond actors and some of the villains/women from their specific Bond films. There was 1/4 scale figures of Connery, Moore, and Brosnan as well. But they won't have a figure of Craig, because the company no longer makes Bond collectibles. Their last set of special figures of the five previous Bond actors called The Legacy Collection came out around the time when Craig became Bond. I'm not too sure of any other companies that produce Bond figures. But in my opinion, Sideshow Collectibles was the best.

The older figures are quite collectable. Not sure if that's in or out of the packaging(nowadays I think stuff like that would be worth more *in* the packaging..maybe someone here knows more about it than I do. )

Collectibles that have never been opened are usually worth more. All of the Sideshow Collectibles Bond figures I have are out of their packaging, but I still have the nice boxes they came in. I do have a figure of Goldfinger from another company that's never been opened. But for the most part, I'm the type that just likes to display these collectible figures out of their packaging.

Do you realize that Cr-egg will be Bond in 2015 and 2018 so the next Bond will not be until 2011 at the earliest?  Eon does not have the onions to do a film every 2 years any more. In 9 years, let's all meet back here and welcome a new Bond who does not look like Cr-egg. MGW will be in his 80s then. FBF, it's now time for "exit stage left" on this franchise. What say yee?
