It really depends on the film being well received in China, and that the Chinese authorities dont release 'SF' the same weekend as another blockbuster.
Anyway, the films International takings continue to surprise, currently they are $623 mil...and when adding the us total now gives the film some $869 mil.
This is a massive improvement so far close to $300 mil over QOS.
EA
It had another good weekend and is running with Twilight so it's impressive no matter what.
$100 million boost from the UK (over CR and QOS), some of it is price but no doubt people are reacting well to it. The US is unexpected for me because there was not big buzz around it here, but then $200 million isn't a big movie here not really.

I predicted SF's critical and BO success a long while ago. Now for the next hurdle - Oscars. Will it get any nominations? I have a sneaky feeling it might, and in the big categories too.

If that's the case, then the franchise is dead like a zombie on steriods.
I'm one of the younger(42 in February) people here......... I know for a fact BJ and Kris are older than me...not sure about anyone else, agewise, though

Next Bond will be 2014 won't it?
I think bjmdds may have meant next Bond actor.
MGM has opened the door to the next movie not coming out until 2015 (CEO made a comment on a recent conference call). Barbara Broccoli seems to prefer a three-year gap between movies.

Next Bond in 2022? I have absolutely no idea. I doubt it will be anyone who is a well-known name at present. It will be someone fairly unknown, or someone who will just be starting to break through by 2018/19. Forget any household names that are currently been branded around at the moment.

..........3 years before next Bond film....oh dear, i was hoping we could get back to the 2 year cycle of films. Mind you i'll take 3 years, after the long gaps we've had to endure in recent times!

Havnt seen the full International breakdown for this weekend, but 'SF' did have an opening in Japan of some $5.9 mil......
...that may not seem that much, until you realise Japanese weekend grosses are for 2 days, not 3 like the US, and also Japanese grosses are more even throughout a films run, unlike the US again, where there is a massive 1st weekend, then BO grosses dwindle quickly!
Anyway, 'SF' made some 50% more than QOS did in that market, on its opening.
.........incidently SF must of , or be very close now to being the No.1 film alltime in the UK (excluding inflation)....there should be a report out soon!

Ale won't be happy about that. She wants Henry as the 7th 007. So do a lot here, but the rotten vegetable has other plans in her demented mind.

You can forget any actor who will be carving out a name for himself in another franchise. Henry could have been Bond if he had not signed up for Superman. Now he has, that is his bed to lie in.
Next Bond will be someone relatively unknown right now. A name no one has heard of. Whether he will be blonde, dark, black, etc. will remain to be seen.
