How's this for a bit of luck, check out the concensus on yahoo reg the new q guys http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie- ... 17846.html

It has begun  this bond will not live twice and he'll die another day alright in october when this hits the pile harder than quark, they've taken bond too far in the wrong direction and a lot of people are now finally starting to wake up and take notice.

Got a laugh out of this comment:

I like James Bond films and can sit and watch them all day but casino royal with Daniel Craig is the best SLEEPING PILL ever still havent stayed awake longer than 15 mins. Q was the nickname of Major Boothroyd , John Clease played his apprentice and should have got the job

Glad to hear I'm not the only one that fell asleep during cr.

Don't forget to click on the little thumbs up sign for the anti-Craig comments and the thumbs down sign for the "omg criag is totally badass he is flemming's bond" comments when you visit.

Interesting how the Daniel Craig fans hate the older Moore and Connery entries.

MIB 3 is topping off near $610million and it needs more than "687.2M" to start to break even. Spiders a 230 million dollar move too, it going to do better than MIB and Bond. Heck Bond will be no where near Spider in any market

About these budget I though we were hearing Sony done't like to pay as much these day and we have 3 films that are heavy weights, MIB3, Spider, Spyfall all of the are farchies movies nad all might no break even, does this make sense to studios? What am I missing?

Even with IMAX and ticket prices increased, Bond 23 needs to gross below CR and QOS at the box office, especially here in the US. Andy's arachnid is in 3D and IMAX, and from the looks of the box office results, it won't beat any of Tobey's. Furthermore, none of the sequels of the original surpassed the first, not even in IMAX. Also, all the sequels (even those in IMAX) of Harry's adventures, except DH2, did not beat SS's numbers both worldwide and here in the US, and SS wasn't even in IMAX.

Predictions:

1) MGW and/or BB will, after the movie comes out, declare Skyfall is the best Bond movie EVER.

2) Skyfall will have an opening weekend in the U.S. and Canada of $60 million to $65 million.

3) Most posters on 007 message boards will fall in line with No. 1 and No. 2 while not mentioning that Quantum's opening weekend in the U.S. was $67.5 million, during a period when ticket prices were lower and Bond movies weren't available in Imax (which has higher ticket prices).

4) Sony will again say Bond 24 will be out in late 2014 while Eon will either say nothing or say something that contradicts that timetable.

Your mileage may vary.

I hope it's lower than that. $50 million to $55 million. If Bond 23 becomes the highest grossing Bond, especially here in the US, I'm done with Bond for good unless the rebels here are willing to go for the weirdos to take over as Bond.

The Amazing Spider-Man fell 50 percent to $10.3 million, which brings its 11-day total to $176.2 million. It currently trails all three previous Spider-Man movies by at least $52 million through the same point.

BJ....you better be helping me get the arachnid off the list by seeing Ice Age 4. If this bug gross lower than expected, this would affect Bond 23. I think it makes more than enough already.

And Skyfall will not leave theatres before it reaches $168,368,427 and 1 cent making it the "biggest Bond US in BO history!!!!!" Even if MGW has to by the remaining tickets required himself.

i'll add a 5) to Napoleon's list (or 6 with Blowfeld's addition): Skyfall will drop over 60% in its second weekend and perform poorly on DVD/Blu-Ray, but the fanboys will ignore that and declare it a success because IT WAS THE #1 FILM ON ITS' OPENING WEEKEND! Just like they did with QOS.

That is the figure I'm going to watch. A 50 percent falloff is normal. Quantum's was 60 percent. I also remember a quote when The Avengers came out. It was to the effect that a marketing blitz can get you a No. 1 weekend, but after that, it's word of mouth and audience reaction. In 2008, Quantum was up against the first Twilight movie on weekend No. 2; Skyfall is up against the finale on weekend No. 2. We'll see.

Skyfall is virtually assured of being the No. 1 movie in the U.S. its opening weekend. Question is how big. Even a $60 million to $65 million opening would be lower than Quantum despite higher ticket prices. I picked that level because you don't see many movies break through that level. We'll have a better idea toward the end of October when the first projects begin to surface.

Sony is overestimating the Sunday Spiderman box office deliberately again as they did last week to make it look good. There is NO way it did more on Sunday than Friday night. Also, In an interview with Empire magazine, the actor leaves an opening, however small, that another movie could be in his future. He tells the publication, "My understanding is that this is the last one. I think it's appropriate, I think it's going out at the right time. But ... if Chris came to me with a script and said, 'You know what? There is another story' then I would love the challenge of making a fourth one work."
But in the same interview it doesn't sound like Nolan is exactly on board. He says, "What drew me to Batman in the first place was Bruce Wayne's story, and that he's a real character whose story begins in childhood. ... That, for me, became a three-part story. And obviously the third part becomes the ending of the guy's story."

http://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/man- ... man-cameo/ First off, Ben Kingsley is indeed playing the supervillainous, robe-rocking Mandarin and Stephanie Szostak (Paul Rudd's girlfriend in Dinner for Schmucks) has joined the cast as a character TBA.
Also in the footage, Stark's seaside mansion is thoroughly demolished by an airborne firing squad and every bit of armor in his workroom is blown to bits. Meaning, our hero must start from scratch (though billionaire superhero's scratch is different from regular people's scratch), somewhat reminding us of the predicament a forlorn Bruce Wayne is facing at the beginning of The Dark Knight Rises.
We have a feeling that Iron Man—with a little help from his friends—will rise again, too. (Whether or not the same guy is wearing the suit is up to Downey, who said he's come to the end of his contract, which attached him to the two Iron Man sequels and The Avengers. Think he'll want a raise?)
Black told us that the film was about half shot and, if they "don't mess up the rest, it's going to be great."
Iron Man 3 hits theaters March 3, 2013.

Its one thing to have remakes of films, but Hollywood is so short of original ideas at the present , that there making remakes of remakes..........blinkin heck.

The only Bond film that should be remade is QOS............preferably with a plot, character development, steady camera work and normal speed editing!

Not sure where i saw it, probably BOM, but QOS's $67.5 opening weekend in North America in 2008, would equate nowadays to somewhere around $74+ mil. Personally i dont think Skyfall, even if it does receive excellent reviews, will open this high as i'am sure the memory of QOS will put a lot of people off going to see the film initially, until they here word of mouth from their friends. I do however expect a large opening in the UK though, after that it depends on the reception of the film how far it goes...ie CR and QOS had similar openings in the UK........but CR was well received, and went on to make somewhere around $105 mil.......while on the other hand QOS wasnt so well liked and ended up grossing around $80 mil!

"While we have a lot of impactful promotions in place to reach men and boys, creating partnerships and in-store programs that target younger women and moms has been one of the priorities for us," said Jeff Blake, chairman of worldwide marketing and distribution at Sony Pictures. That became such a priority that Sony's strategy was clear from the beginning when it hired Marc Webb, who garnered critical praise for helming the relationship drama "500 Days of Summer," to direct the new $220 million-budgeted "Spider-Man" tale. Kellogg's will reach out to mothers, plastering Spidey on 75 million boxes of the company's 45 food brands. It will also reach younger girls with an exclusive line of nail polish from OPI, with seven shades like "Call Me Gwen-ever," tying in with the Gwen Stacy character, played by Stone, who is a spokeswoman for Revlon. As rising ticket prices have forced families to shell out more coin for movie tickets, the Kellogg's campaign will offer codes for free tickets and 3D upgrades. Kellogg's is paying for the tickets. "Spider-Man's" core audience is still men, however. Carl's Jr. is aggressively going after that audience with two custom spots, the newest of which offers a free grilled cheese burger to moviegoers who visit one of its restaurants wearing a Spider-Man outfit on July 4. Fast-food chain has enlisted Stan Lee to judge costumes and determine the rules of what makes a good Spidey outfit.
