It will fade with fewer repeat moviegoers. That is where they build up the numbers.

That seems to be the consensus on sites like Den of Geek. It doesn't seem to be getting very good word of mouth. A couple of my Facebook friends have seen it and say that it's OK, but nothing special.

A few of my friends have seen it say its OK but no Avengers so basically don't bother. Thats our standard this year, Avengers, hope Batman can live up to it.

Spider was certainly helped out by the 3d tickets with out 3d it would be significantly lower I think comparatively attendance is down but then the economy sucks so I'm actually impressed how well it started.

I hope Bond 23 ends up forgotten even with IMAX. Otherwise, you might as well send in weirdos for Bond.

FBF, read this: http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118056277 "China, which declined to allow "The Dark Knight," is expected to accept Nolan's latest."

The studio already said they will not leave Batman dormant for very long. I give it two years before they announce something.
What about making Dick Grayson as Batman? He did became the Bat in the comics. The Bat is too good to be rebooted.

We still don't know if Joseph Gordon-Levitt Is Azrael/Jean Paul Valley in TDKR and he took over in the comics too. The problem is they didn't have Dick Grayson/Robin in the reboot because he wouldn't really work in the Nolan universe so you would have to at least mention the origin of Grayson if you had him as Batman. It would make more sense just to have a new actor playing Bruce Wayne/Batman. By the way, according to Ain't It Cool, they screened The Dark Knight Rises today for a select audience and some critics and it got a standing ovation.

$225 million opening weekend in USA? Is it possible? FBF, will you see it 12 times?

In TDKR, Dick is still a little kid at this point. If there is to be a Dick Grayson/Batman movie, it would be a coming-of-age movie, focusing on Dick himself. Yes, you would have to put Bruce Wayne in there but as Dick's trainer. The story could have Dick's training (and flashbacks of his parents' death) in the beginning, Dick as Robin fighting crime with Wayne/Batman in the middle, and Dick becoming the Bat when Bruce disappears in the end. This is just my opinion though. BJ, what do you think about this?

The Bat has a history of having the highest opening weekend record with every installment (with the exception of the laughable B&R and the masterpiece BB) so it is possible but we'll see.

I will see it 11 times as I did with HP7.2.

11? Not 10 nor 12? You spend a LOT of money on films FBF. Look what Eon is losing out with you boycotting DC. Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character mimic's Dick Grayson's past so I think that is how Nolan has set this whole thing up, with Bale in a wheel chair at the end of the film showing Dick Grayson the bat cave.

But still, it's too redundant, and Chris' trilogy is too good and too well established. If you want a new and far younger Bruce Wayne/Batman, you might as well have another actor play Superman in different Superman series at least for the Justice League continuity. After all, Zack Synder said that his Superman won't be in the Justice League movie.

I choose 11 for the last HP since Harry started Hogwarts at this age. I'll see TDKR 11 times not 12 since it wouldn't seem fair to DH2 if I see the Bat's final round more than Harry's last adventure. That's just me though. If Pierce is five years younger and still Bond up to this year, then I would see his last mission more than Harry's final adventure and the Bat's final battle.
You spend a LOT of money on films FBF.
Only on my favorite franchises (the last installments mostly): Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, Batman/Superman, Harry Potter, and Middle Earth.

I like the same films FBF, except I have yet to see any LOTR in their entirety yet.........I am not into it as I am into Potter, etc., but one day I will sit down and start watching them when they are on cable tv. Should I watch them out of order or wait to see them in the correct order?

Cr-egg might be cast in the next Bat sequel as Harvey 3 face. FBF would just love that, DC a villain in the next Bat flick  :fight: Gang, check this out: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0185819/ The ONLY things Cr-egg is listed for in the future are a VIDEO GAME and a RUMORED Bond 24 :!:   That means ZERO studios have done anything with him for the future and it seems the very role he had to drag himself to be in is the ONLY avenue left to make money. Poor Mrs. Cr-egg. Her new hubby is a has been at 44 :!:  If someone at MGM does not cool off the Hogwarts love potion on Pascal and the vegetable, we could be stuck with this loser for eternity :!:  Did you know that Cr-egg played BUBBLES http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2066119/ in The Organ Grinders Monkey? That's a perfect role for the simian-esque dolt to play. BUBBLES.............just beautiful...........I will have field day with this role.
