Whatever faces Brosnan pulled it has to be better than some bozo doing the face below in every single scene of any film he's in.

Also, tehmanis, seems like you're not aware that movies are a BUSINESS first and foremost. You also don't seem to be aware that general consensus is that the QoS "story" was HORRIBLE quality-wise, so it's not like Craig has ANY claims to make in terms of story quality (and CR wasn't good either, what with the villain being simply laughable because of how they shaped him up on screen. And don't even get me started on Vesper). It's actually the exact opposite of what you say. Seen as we CARE about ACTUAL JAMES BOND QUALITY (and not about random, blue-collar looking action hero stuff, which is what Daniel Craig does), we wonder how it is possible that they invest such an amount of money in such a movie. I guess you're also unaware that QoS was the first movie of the Bond franchise to actually make the studio lose money? Movies are a BUSINESS, this is not Sundance where you have indie films (which by the way I am all for and more than fine with). This is Hollywood, where you need to make money and rake in grosses or you go home. Like it or not, it's the way it is. And a movie needs to make 3x its production costs (TOTAL costs, including advertising) to BREAK EVEN, so it's not difficult to understand why people are out of their minds when they put in a budget that's $400 mln for a movie. Not every movie is going to be The Avengers, so maybe more thinking and less spending would help Hollywood in general. Which is exactly the point Omega was making.

Saw 'Prometheus' tonight...............was a very good film, and there were a lot of people seeing it!
Firstly 'Prometheus' is not an Alien prequel film as Scott originally intended, but it is a film based on part of the story from the original Alien film.
Its not an outright horror film like Alien, and doesnt have that claustophobic feel.....................BUT there are some gruesome deaths in Prometheus.
Basically Prometheus is a very thought provoking science fiction film....it does answer some of the questions from Alien, but it also provides a lot of new un answered questions.
The story from Prometheus could carry onto a sequel, as its vast subject matter, could only be partly played out in a 2 hour film.
All in all......not an alltime classic, but still a very good film and very watchable
The 3D visuals in the film were stunning.
I wont say anything specific about the film as, as has been said before the less you know the better the viewing of the film.
My rating of the film 4/5
What a shame Ridley Scott has never made a Bond film......eh?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
From the trailers I've seen, this looks more like Lord of the Rings than Snow White. It's billed as being "from the producers of Alice in Wonderland" which suggests that it replicates that film's desire to turn a relatively simple tale into a huge epic fantasy. Comedy writer Graham Linehan (of Father Ted fame) tweeted that said strapline had the same effect on him as saying "remember that time you sat on your balls?" - a gag I may steal if EON tries to connect Skyfall to QOS.bjmdds wrote:Snow White costs more to make than Bond?

Snow White is kicking MIB3 ass, but BJ where did the $150 million skyfall numbers come from? I try to keep up with it but I don't remember anything besides the news paper speculation the budget had been cut , is there something new?bjmdds wrote:Snow White and the Huntsman:

No way snow white should be $170 million dollars what the hell is Hollywood spending all the money on.
