nice movie. Not great. A Good kid movie only a little scary at the end.

I wonder Why did they have a bald MR. Bean?

Watched the Madness movie Take It Or Leave It on TV. I remember when it first came out, it was a rare example of our local fleapit screening a film due to popular demand - Madness fans successfully lobbied the cinema manager to get it shown, something that could never happen in this age of faceless multiplex chains. I never saw it at the time, though, so I've been waiting nealy 30 years to see it. It wasn't worth the wait :( Too many inconsequential scenes of the band rehearsing and not enough of Madness's music (which is what I watched it for).

The Last King of Scotland. Much more like a thriller than I expected, I can now see why Peter Morgan was chosen to script the next Bond film.

That is a GREAT movie. Intense, and certainly don't watch it on a full stomach(if you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about).

TLKOS' director Kevin Macdonald was one of the people offered the job to direct QOS(he didn't). It'd be interesting to see his take on a Bond film..he's done thrillers( a documentary about the Munich Olympics called One Day In September, a documentary called Touching The Void -both of those are must-sees, IMO-TLKOS, and the recent remake of State Of Play which was set in Washington D.C.

Watching that movie,I could see why Forest Whittaker got the Oscar for Best Actor!

Die Hard 4.0 aka Live Free or Die Hard. About as plausible as a Roadrunner cartoon, but tremendous fun nonetheless.

I saw Pirate Radio a.k.a. The Boat That Rocked. I refuse to give that piece of crap Roland Emmerich movie my money. Really liked the movie, and Gemma Arterton wasn't as annoying as she was in QOS, thoughshe does break a character's heart

Horton Hears a Who. Ok- decent story and nice animation. Kids liked it.
Monsters vs Aliens . Good story if you have a little girl and decent story over all. But not great IMHO
UP. Wonderful! great fun! Kid and adults can like this one
Star Trek. I enjoy this one alot and it not overly violent so that the kids can't watch it.

I'll probably watch Monsters Vs Aliens when it comes on TV, purely because Stephen Colbert (who I'm a big fan of) plays the President. I don't know how funny he'll be in a film he didn't write himself, but I'm still curious to see it because of him.

Colbert was fun but the role wasn't really suited to him. Like Tek Jansen or other things he has done.

It was more 1950s b movie president he had to bluster and carry on so Colbert was fine there but I can't help think they should have let him ad lib the part.

So.I saw 2012 tonight. And...I didn't hate it. Though good lord, there wasn't much of the world left at the end of the movie, was there?

It is going to freak out people who listen to Art Bell show type stuff, and buy into it.. that went through my mind, especially Woody Harrelson's character.
