As we are now slowly getting some info on Bond 23.......well on locations anyway, it seems that Bond 23 is going to be the usual globe trotting experience.
Now if they can make this film for $135 mil..........can someone tell me, how, where, why and where to, did the astronomical budget for QOS reported to of been between $200-230 mil go, as it was not shown on the screen?????????

There was either a great deal of wastage, incompetence in the finances of the film, leading to excesses, or some people pocketed agreat deal for themselves.

I remember Cubby Broccoli's moto for the Bond films.....was to put the money on the screen!

Not in the last film it wasnt!

'FBF' your 'Potter' boy is still doing well at the BO!

What films are you looking forward to in 2012..........apart from Bond 23.....oops! :D

Personally i'am looking forward to 'Ridley Scott's' ........variant on the Alien theme...'Prometheus'.

Scott has promised that the film is going to be really scary and nasty!...............just how i like it. :D

Can't wait for Promethus....Alien was scary..the sequels not so much. If it's as scary as some are saying, bring.it.on.(I don't get scared easily..with only a few exceptions!)

Murray out at US Open as expected. Novac knocked out faltering Federer, who won ZERO grand slams for the first time since 2002. Novac should beat Nadal, but I doubt it will be easy.

Thor 2 is a go, what about X-men and Capitan America two of the better movies this summer?

Bond 23 is not one of them, of course. Here's my list:

The Dark Knight Rises
Star Trek 2 (if released in Nov 2012)
The Hobbit: The Unexpected Journey
The Avengers
Men In Black III
Resident Evil: Retribution
a movie starring Jerry Sadowitz as the lead   (only joking)

I may despise these vampires, considering I supported Harry and always will, but perhaps I should add Twilight as an honorable mention since I would love to see those vampires suck the life out of DC's Bond. And Bilbo will finish the job by having Smaug feeding on DC's Bond as a meal.

BJ, perhaps you should lecture this minion (no, I'm not talking about alvin) in Alt007 about this and Potter's supreme reign at the box office.

The poor Scotchman Andy Murray is easily the fourth best Tennis player but has three greats above him. Still time for him to win a grand slam though.

Serena got slaughtered by the Aussie at the US Open and behaved like the spoiled brat she is. The Aussie had class  , something Serena lacks.

No it wasn't! I am worried they are doing the same thing now with locations we know about, on the surface the places used in QoS were very nice except they were showing a ugly world so nothing was nice, if the do the same with India it will be very disappointing.

MIB 3 might be a turkey, I hope not at this point it went through slightly less development hell than Bond 23.
Star Trek 2 in Nov will clean Bond's clock if they go head to head.

Who said this? I cleaned it up not to give it away right off.
"After a thousand questions regarding the sequel I can finally say I am holding the draft script in my hand. I can also now tell you I have a love interest and it's all looking very exciting. Sorry but I cant give you a date for filming yet, but you guys are going to love it!"

Another good one

Who said this?
There was a lot of desire [on the studio side] to fast-track the new movie and have it be shooting already. And in theory we could have done that. But what all of us [the creative team] were concerned about is the release date be the master we were serving. Nothing is more disheartening than something going in front of the camera before it’s ready. The crew can feel it and the cast can feel it. It’s just a heart-attack machine.”

Speaking of Star Trek 2 (not II), will it have time for Nov 2012 release or be pushed back to 2013?

Novack cleaned Nadal's clock, as I thought and won the US Open. Novack should be sportsman of the year. With no tennis majors left in 2011 I expect Ms. Bouvier to do some investigative research and find out what the heck is actually going on behind the scenes with Bond 23.

She should do the same for Star Trek 2 (not II) also. We can only hope it would block Bond 23's entrance to the #1 position at the US office.

$98,041,821 Cr-eggs and Aliens domestic total is STILL under $100 million while the APES have run wild at the box office. Go figure penguins http://col.stb.s-msn.com/i/DC/B0FB3077B ... 779B1F.jpg and now apes beating DC at the box office. :happy spin: It's international total is a paltry $58,500,000 as well.

HA! I was so pleased for Nole last night! Totally deserved win, he was fantastic! I am getting on it but there are other sports events, namely for example ALL the soccer tournaments, starting now so it's not like I'll be free. But less day-to-day under water, for sure :D

Uhm, what's all the ridiculousness about the locations now? I don't even know what to say anymore. We still DO NOT HAVE ONE SINGLE ACTOR OFFICIALLY CAST and people are behaving as if everything's normal and chit-chatting about locations? Seriously. Not to mention they have already delayed filming. I am sure they will make Bond 23, don't misunderstand me. I am equally sure it's shaping up to be a far worse mess than QoS was, if only for how ridiculously late they are with everything.

Look at how well prepared Star Trek and Superman are. Those people take seriously their job of putting out a good movie. Bond on the other hand can say oh wow we love the script but it it no the same league as the other movies studios out there, shocking and a shame.
